I’ve just read some horrible comments about Maxx Valu. I just have to say , I’ve been shopping here for years. I’ve never had a bad experience. All employees are friendly and efficient if help is needed. Prices are comparable.

My wife came into the store today to purchase some items, she got too many and didnt have enough to pay for it she asked if she could take a few items off what was scanned instead of purchasing them. The cashier Nathaniel was very rude, banging on the metal of the register and loudly proclaiming that she didnt have enough money and that someone has to come get the items now. A few customers behind her were even laughing about it while my wife was in tears. Shes never felt so small, pathetic, and humiliated in her life.

Convenient goods to some degree, but the prices are great and affordable. Sadly it has low employee numbers in the cashier register. Would be awesome if it had self check service for faster processing than to have a congested line queued up with only two or one active cashier employee.

First time I have been here, prices are reasonable and great customer service when checking out. Manager is friendly and walks by and says Hi to everyone. I always prefer places where they actually treat you like a human and are glad to see you. Will definitely return, Lotto machine was not printing my tickets and the manager took care of it quick. Offered my money back or tickets from the other Lotto machine.

I buy frozen products "on sale" that aren't expired but when it's cooked it smells and tastes bad. A lot of the produce is rotten. I do not buy meat at this store because of the unsanitary ways they do things. But the junk food is never bad and always in stock 🙄.

In general I like this store but in the mornings there is a very rude cashier and she has no patience, they should be a little more friendly

Store hours are a lie. If you don’t open at 6am don’t advertise that you do. And if you don’t close at midnight, don’t advertise that you do. Just seems like pure laziness. Also high prices for food that will be expiring shortly, long lines, literally 2 cashiers, also you aren’t guaranteed a shopping cart. Rotten fruit

I have to use this store because I don’t have transportation. I have bought meat that looked fine but was tainted in some way because my daughter and I got horribly ill throwing up and severe diarrhea. I have bought boxed pasta and bring it home and realize it’s expired so you have to look at dates on EVERYTHING. I think a lot of people that shop here just set things down anywhere and then they’re found and put back even if it’s hamburger/cream/milk/cheese. I have also bought ice cream from here and it looked like the ice cream had melted and refroze! Ugh it was disgusting. I have wasted a lot of money at this store because if you don’t keep your receipt and realize that you have spoiled food within 24 hours of purchase, they won’t exchange it for a good one. Their are several employees that have been there for a long time and they have good customer service skills. Never any baskets either and if you do get one and it’s not locked don’t park far from the entrance because the cart will lock before you get to your car. Our running total of wasted money on food at this store is $73.12 to date. I’m disabled with a disabled child and I don’t have this money to keep gifting the store!
