Absolutely loved this restaurant!! Almost everything was delicious and left me wanting more!! The only thing I wasn’t as impressed by was the hummus plate. My favorite was mac nut-crusted fish. Second fave was the lobster ravioli. Everything else was fantastic but I highly recommend the above two. The falafel was very tender and flavorful.
Service was excellent; our waiter was very professional and just knew what we wanted. The ambience was really good too.

Though a little out of the way from Kailua-Kona, Merriman’s is worth the drive. Reserve early though as last minute reservations may be hard to come by at the popular place for both locals and tourists.

I’ve been here several times when I visit the Big Island and everything pretty much remains except for the daily specials. And that is a good thing as their service is constantly excellent and their food is always delicious. This is one of the more upscale restaurants on the island and shows in their overall quality.

Merriman’s was such a wonderful experience!

We made last minute reservations the night before our wedding to celebrate afterwards, and they happily accommodated us. The manager, Eric, was very warm and friendly when we arrived, and he and the rest of the staff made us feel so celebrated and as if they were sharing in our excitement.

The food was phenomenal, each dish we had to pause after the first bite and marvel at the flavors. We loved everything, but particularly enjoyed the lobster ravioli, the tomato bisque (which I believe was one of their specials), the cucumber salad, and the chocolate purse (wish I could’ve had 4 more!)

Our server Bianca was one of the best servers we have had anywhere. So personable, and clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about her work and the restaurant.

Thank you for helping us have the perfect end to our special day! We look forward to one day returning.

One of the best meals we had on the island! The outside decor might not catch your attention, but the food definitely will. Only about a 30-minute drive from the resort areas with easy parking in front of the restaurant. The New York steak was very flavorful and tender. We requested to leave off the schewan peppercorns and herb butter because we didn't want to ruin a great steak. The scallops and shrimp were done perfectly. The desert and coffee selection was very good.

This is 5 star dining and was the absolute highlight of our dining experiences in Hawaii. Howard served us this evening and his attention to detail blew us away. The food is incredible! It was a 30min drive from our hotel but absolutely worth it. Would highly recommend!

One of our better meals on the island. The fish was great and a perfect portion for my wife. The Ramen had great taste but fell a little short on portion size. The price was good considering that add a 4% for the cook staff it was actually cheaper than some of the other places that had less quality food.

Very nice restaurant in the town. They have good options for food and drinks. We did receive a complimentary dessert from the chef which was delicious. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in town.

We first tried Merriman’s on Christmas on Oahu and wanted to try their regular menu - wow they did not disappoint! Big shoutout to our server Howard for not stealing us wrong on our dinner recommendations this night! We started off with the lobster ravioli which was good (not incredible itself) but the sage butter and cili oil was a delicious complement. The warm table bread was also great! We had two amazing entrees the scallops (out of shrimp) with the corn bread and kale and the macadamia crusted fish was to die for! My partner literally said it was one of the best meals he’s ever had and I concur. We then finished off with the French press coffee, the iconic chocolate purse, and the incredible pineapple bread pudding! What a night!
