We had a great time at Mizu’s last night! We’ve eaten at Mizu’s several times over the years for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries and just for the fun of it like last night. They never disappoint! Their hibachi grill is our favorite. We’ve tried just about everything on the hibachi menu but my favorite is the salmon. ?

We came in late just a little before closing and they were still super friendly. We didn't do the hibachi this time but did order hibachi to be cooked in the back. They presented us with a heaping plate of food that was fresh and wonderful. Our filets were tender and juicy. We started with the Dancing Dragon roll and it was yummy as always.

Great experience and nice atmosphere. Sushi was awesome, but fried rice and steak were too salty for my taste.

Cockroach in my salad and I told the waiter about it and they only took the salad off my check. Make sure to check your food before eating if I hadn’t checked my food I would’ve eaten it. Nasty never going back to eat there again.

My server was good. HOWEVER my sushi was warm and tasted strange. I told my server and 40% was taken off my order. This was un acceptable as I could not eat any of it. I asked to speak to a manager. After waiting for over 15 minutes I left paying my bill minus the cost of the sushi roll, about $4
Since I knew the server personally I contacted them to give them a tip. The manager rudely used my acquaintances phone to tell me to never return. No Problem. I won't, and neither should anyone else. Later that evening I was ill after just eating 2 pieces of my roll.

I typically don't sit at the hibachi table, but the dine in spot is nice too. This place gives you sooo much food if you do dine in. I always end up taking a full to go box home. The food is okay, but the volume is really the best part. I've also enjoyed the drinks and the friendly staff. I like that they close pretty late.

I am sooo disappointed in this restaurant. I have frequented the Trussville location and everything was great. This Pelham location has the most rude people I'm assuming management the way they were bossing the servers around. . There are younger teenage girls who are working there that are spoken to so rudely. I'm sure their parents would not appreciate that type of condescending verbiage to their children who are just trying to make money while in high school.
I ordered take out at the bar. Teriyaki chicken with fried rice. It was absolutely horrible. The chicken was grilled maybe but had no flavor. It had a watery supposedly teriyaki sauce on top, that too had no flavor. The fried rice was extremely salty. The salad was white lettuce with a watery mayonnaise like dressing could barely taste the ginger. The soup contained seaweed which made it taste bitter and very pallet. It was the worst $41+ for 2 I ever spent. I would not recommend the take out to anyone. Perhaps the hibachi is better but the take out is horrible. But one must think all the food comes from the same place. I give ⭐️ for the poor young girls that were so rudely spoken to. This is 1 restaurant I will never go to again. It gets .
