Modern Urban Design transformed our literal mud pit into an urban oasis. Jonathan and his crew brought both a positive and practical outlook to our project, full of ideas while working with us to stay well within our budget. From an irregular stone patio, a beautiful deck, and soft, seamless turf, our backyard has become a place that works for kids and adults. The crew has also been great about answering any additional questions and following up on any new ideas we might have. They’re our first call - and our last.

From the get go, Jonathan was wonderful to work with. Our goal was to design a outdoor "living room" that maximizes the functional space, is beautiful and comfortable for us to have people over and is kid-friendly (for our daughter to play in). Jonathan was great to collaborate with -- he listened to our ideas and contributed his own. He is very knowledgeable about hardscaping (including wood) and landscaping.
Our design included built us benches, along the walls (with storage), a custom table, bench, and planters, as well as the installation of pavers, evergreens and an irrigation system.
The end result (including the woodwork and craftsmanship) is incredibly impressive. The team was very professional (and respectful, especially during COVID), and the project was completed on time. We couldn't be more thrilled and we would highly recommend M.U.D.!!

The guys at MUD worked with me to create four separate small projects that together elevated my yard from decent to special. The best thing about them is their combination of knowledge and skill. They know plants and are amazing carpenters. The next best thing is how they collaborate with you. They listened, helped me think through my ideas, then added their expertise. We ended up with something that felt like me but more than I imagined. They’re also totally professional: reliable, neat, punctual — and very friendly but also low-profile when you need them to be. Jonathon, Luke, Nat and crew have transformed our backyard into an oasis - built a beautiful wooden deck, planters, divider fence and raised stone area for tree. We had an idea of what we wanted, but the team came in with some great vision and suggestions like a shadow fence for dividing and providing privacy but still letting light through. They were meticulous with implementation, are real craftsmen and are clearly passionate about what they do. Super friendly, clear communication and quick to complete.

Can’t wait to enjoy the summer in our new yard and would 100% go to MUD again, couldn’t be happier
