I had the worst experience at Natty Garden on Washington Ave-honestly, save your money and avoid this place. The plants looked half-dead, with yellowing leaves and droopy stems, like they hadn't been watered in weeks. I asked the staff for help picking something out, and they were rude and dismissive, acting like I was bothering them. I ended up with a $30 "healthy" fern that wilted in two days-total rip-off. The shop itself is cramped and disorganized, with overpriced pots and no clear signage. They offer repotting, but it's an extra charge they don't tell you about upfront. I've seen better plant care at a big-box store. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else-this place is a joke

Had to start from ground zero populating a new apartment with a new group of plants… Loved the diverse selection and easy access to supplies, but best of all was Jodi ! She was beyond helpful and patient; she helped me with repotting advice, making sure I understood care routines, carefully checking for diseases before sale, and even looking at photos of my apartment interior to gauge the trajectory of the sunlight and suggest the best areas to place the plants. Would recommend! Thank you Jodi !

Apologies for the blurry photos. I really enjoyed speaking with the staff. He helped me understand the best setting for the plants I was considering. You could tell he was busy but at the same time cares about the craft, and ensuring customers leave informed.

Jodi is amazing! My beloved snake plant was sick and I didn't know what was wrong -- only that more and more leaves were dying, rapidly. Jodi let me bring my plant shortly before closing. She diagnosed it, repotted it, and patiently taught me how to propegate leaves that could be salvaged but not potted. There were three people working in the store at that time and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The selection of plants looked great. I will definitely return!

I've gotten my healthiest, happiest plants for the best prices at Natty Garden. This place beats all the fancy stores hands-down. The person working there (the owner) is hard at work tending to the store, but he was very calm, patient, and helpful with me. Can't wait to go back. 🙂

I had such a good experience at Natty Gardens this week. I was helped out by a guy named David. I really appreciate someone who takes pride in the job that they do. He was very knowledgeable about different plants/ best seasons to grow/How often to water them/ best bang for my buck. And I really appreciate that. Sometimes you go into stores with a lot of dumb questions. David never once made me feel like I was dumb for the most simplest questions. I really appreciate the hard work of the Natty Garden team. They made me feel not just a priority but like family. And that's very rare for Brooklyn lol

Extremely crowded. Staff weren't present or much help. Paid $24 for a small cactus that wasn't tagged, which is now rotting in my kitchen - literally oozing and moldy after 2 weeks. Sad! Recommend the Sill, where I have plants that are thriving for over 2 years!

And since I can't respond to the owner's reply. I just want to add why I recommend going to another store - where they take more care and warranty plants. Dying after 2 weeks is not because I am "filled with hate", it's because there was something wrong with the plant, which was my point.

Right back at you Natty Garden. Nice example of customer service and "love" for the community.
