Called them and left a message about delivering a day early. German called me back and told me to come on. I arrived right at 2:00 which is when they close. 15 minutes later he had 6 pallets of Ice cream off. Awesome dude. He deserves a raise!!

(In 2018) My experience is that of an outside carrier making a delivery. Easy to get in and out of, nice and courteous people running the dock, and unloading is quick and easy.

Update: 9/15/21: I would give these people another 5 stars if I could. Delivered here this morning; just as good as always. Drivers really appreciate places like this.

Newport Farms is the best!! Really...they have been our distribution, delivery & packing facility for several years now and we couldn't be more pleased with their service, staff and just complete professionalism!! We manage huge fundraising programs for our local So Cal schools (big & small) and I cannot tell you how many times Joel & his wonderful Team at Newport Farms have gone above & beyond for us!!!

The drivers are wonderful! Friendly, relaxed, hard working and most important to me...flexible! They make deliveries flawlessly. I am talking about HUNDREDS of deliveries for us. ALWAYS on time...and let's emphasize how important it is to have our type of delivery ON TIME when working with schools and volunteer parents, schedules and parents!!

I would trust Newport Farms to deliver my child at this point!! 😉

Now about their other services offered...yes! There is more!! They do all of our order processing for tens of thousands of student orders with rarely a mistake!! I mean...I can't input 10 pages without hiccups, but these incredible people can spit out a $50k, 300 student participation school order with maybe 2-3 errors and to be honest, those almost always turn out to be an order form issue!!

I just wanted to share with you all how thrilled we are to have such amazing partners in Newport Farms and in particular Joel Harstad (hope I spelled that right!!). We have expanded to other states and wish we could clone them because it's just not the same running business without these guys!! Trust them..they will go above & beyond EVERY TIME!! 🙂

The receiving guy accepted my ice cream load right away (appx. 1 hr prior to my appt time). Nice and friendly.
Keep in mind that this receiver has open docks, so if you have frozen load and more stops with temp recorders it might be cooked! The guy agreed to take all his pallets inside, that I could close my doors, although they use different tactic (take 1 pallet in, count it, then take next pallet).
The only why I gave them 4 stars is only because I completely messed up with route to the terminal. Their own direction (by a company phone) is outdated and completely wrong!
The construction is so huge that the last left turn from E Grand Blvd to N Joy str is not exist anymore or closed so tough that I could not find it. More of that the ramp from 91 W to N Main str is closed also, so I had to drive to next exit and make really tight u-turn (I mean REALLY TIGHT) heading to 91 E.
To next "victim", as far as you reach N Main str, go north 1/4 mile and make right onto E Harrison str, and then right onto N Joy str. At the end make a left onto Pearl...
