Our visits to North Shore aren’t complete without a stop at this cute store located in the Old Waialua Sugar Mill. It’s immediately to your right as you enter, with clear signage at the front.

One you step in, the door to the store is to your right and you’ll be greeted by the wonderful smells of all the soaps. They have a great variety soaps with of tropical scents, and it’s also a wonderful place to pick up unique local gifts - some of which I haven’t seen sold elsewhere on island.

They also offer tours, which I’ve been meaning to do with friends - cost is $20 for the full tour, $10 for a shorter one. Minimum pf 2 people, max 10 - details and reservations on their website!

Probably the best smelling business on the island! Its a soap factory inside of an old sugar mill silo with a large selection of soaps on sale. You can even purchase soap and stamp it on location!

Please support local businesses like this one!

We went to the soap factory because it was on the list of things we could get into with our go City pass while we were on our trip. It is located in the Old sugar Mill in the town. Look for the big metal structure with like a smoke stack on top. Big upside down funnel. A lot of the rooms inside the building were built with repurposed material it's fun to have them explain where the items came from.

You have to sign up for the tour. It was about a 15-20 minute walk around their facility. They showed how they make their soap, Bath bombs, body butter, chapstick etc. At the end of the tour they give you some soap samples that you're able to stamp with various designs that they also stamp their soap with.

Lovely little store. Lots product. The smells and colors are lovely. The smells can almost be overpowering so be mindful if your sensitive.

The prices are what to be expected in Hawaii. It does seem to be a very high quality product so you get what you pay for I assume.

My first visit to the North Shore Soap Factory located at the old Wailua Sugar Mill in the town of Wailua. Staff was friendly and helpful, they have a variety of products such as soap, lip balm, body wash, lotions, T-shirts, pictures, bags, and other items. They offer a military discount, all you have to do is show your military ID. If you purchase any soaps you can stamp it with a variety of stamps, I stamped my soaps with a Honu (Turtle) and the Shaka sign. If you are driving to the North Shore area visit the town of Wailua and I highly recommend visiting the North Shore Soap Factory.

Lovely locally-owned soap factory in the North Shore! It’s a little off the beaten path, but once you see the cone-shaped building you’re in the right place. It’s an interesting historical site (former sugar cane plantation) that’s been repurposed with small shops. The soap factory had a great selection of goods and we even got the opportunity to “stamp” our soap bars! Looking forward to visiting again soon .🧼🫧🌺

My wife and I started out calling ahead for an appointment to take the tour of the soap factory. It was very informative in seeing the whole process in making the soap in various scents and color designs in the soap. At the end of the tour we got samples that we got to stamp ( dolphin, shark, candy cane, ...) A fun little visit.

We had best experience ever here… this is a family owned business and they have put a lot of soul into this old mill. The creativity in this place grabs you and really leaves you feeling invigorated… makes you want to buy a sample of everything you see.

Great place to stop - easy parking, relaxing atmosphere and friendly service, excellent soap selections.
Don’t forget to buy some $1 slivers of soap and put your own design it it.
Then finish your trip up with a fun photo by using their props and enjoy the laughter.
Browse the gift shop.
Remember to stop in the other shops as well.
