Found this place before traveling to the big island, and it was much better than expected 😌

The garden was indeed peaceful, and we visited on a weekend during HIDOE’s spring break (thought it would be busy).

The pictures online (of the view) doesn’t compare to actually being/standing there.

I found that the butterfly garden was the prettiest part ☺️

It is a nice garden that does promote peace. There are many Buddhist things there, but also a bit of Christian, Jewish and Hindu.
Admission is $10 regular adult and $7 seniors.
There is fruit for sale from the garden.

My wife and I stopped here on the way to Pu'uhonua O Honaunau. We both appreciated the way they represented most major religions intermixed into the tropical flora. We recognized the macadamia tree, and the southern magnolia, which brought a smile to our faces. The botanical representation of the galaxy was inventive. We enjoyed shopping in their craft area. Their employees were beyond nice. They were downright charming. And when I shared a photo with my sons, the youngest, who honeymooned on the Big Island, recognized it immediately, calling it one of the highlights of their visit.

The place is absolutely sublime! And I feel very strong connection between here and the Maui sacred garden where I have been facilitating different healing modalities.
Heels feels extremely special on many levels, especially the fact that different consciousness and teachings are being brought together, you can see Buddhist and Christian themes in one place which is wonderful.

Looking forward to bring people from our retreats here.

P.S always nice to find the meaning of your name on the shrub. Mahalo
