The USA does not have organic standards for honey. This is because we cannot control where the bees fly so we cannot guarantee that the bees are not getting into toxins. Therefore, I cannot respect a company that appears dedicated to helping people buy organic products associating itself with an organic honey label. In my opinion, a company that dedicates itself to organics should limit itself to certifying known clean products and steer clear of the murky areas where organic status is hoped for but not provable.

After one year of experience with this company as our company's organic product certifier I must say I'm disappointed on few things. 1) Billing process is terrible, 2) Inspection charges are ridiculously higher than it should be. 3) You don't get a reminder if the payment is due but you'll get late payment notice for sure.

Update 06/16/2020: No improvement on billing after two years with them. In fact, the person doing billing either has attitude problem or not savvy enough to use systems. You get no reminders if your receive invoice notification digitally. So much so, she even told me, "we have 1500 customers and we can't send reminders". Really - how difficult it is to send reminders to few customers and how difficult it is to implement a system to send auto-reminder. Regrettably, we changed the invoicing from digital to paper invoice, at least we won't forget in making payment on time when we have hard copy.

I did change from 1 star to 2 and not because of PCO's management, the people who provide service in certifying products are absolutely sweet and helpful and it'll be unfair not to recognize them.

Update 08/29/2024: Careless employees. The service is gone downhill and the expenses have gone up. Some employees here think because they are certifiers they have privilege to dictate terms and conditions, and charge more as they please with no consideration on financial impact for small business.
