It is a historical property, which is now a museum about the Longwood Gardens property. It allows you to step back in time and see what life when the family lived there It’s nicely decorated for Christmas time. Wonderful antique music box when you first enter.

The house Pierce Du Pont had many generations of family that lived here. I am grateful for this family being here because we wouldn't have the land, including the amount of plants, trees, and animals on the land. The events that were here throughout the ages made this area, including putting Chester County, PA, and west Philly suburbs on the map. Thank you for everything!

Visiting the duPont House was a highlight of our Longwood Gardens visit. There is an excellent short film that explains the creation and history of the gardens. A second short film previews the near and longer range plans for expanding the garden attractions. You can wander through the well-preserved rooms on the main floor to learn about the DuPont family history.

Seriously, every time I go, I recharge with serenity, peace, and love. My mom just came over to visit, and we took her to appreciate this wonderful and historic place. The day was perfect ...awesome weather, aromatic flowers, friendly staff, and delicious food. My only regret was that we couldn't stay for the water show. Overall, it was simply amazing.

Very beautiful house. Very well maintained and decorated for Christmas. There is a information clip you can watch that gives you some history as well as information placards located throughout the house.

Love visiting Longwood Gardens any time of the year. Outside holiday lights were AWESOME! They added more beautiful lights this year! Conservatory was gorgeous! Organ console recital really adds to the festive mood! Hot Chocolate was delicious, but very, very HOT! Longwood never disappoints!

Historical property that is now converted into a museum about the Longwood Gardens property. Pierce was the original family’s name before it was purchased by Pierre du Pont. It’s nicely decorated for Christmas time with a large tree and antique music box when you first enter. The outside is gorgeous when the wisteria blooms. Full of insider info so definitely worth checking out.
