I've been meaning to try Pipeline Bakeshop for a while...

It's usually a bit inconvenient for me to come through this area. I'm hardly ever in the Kaimuki area, just usually passing through... if that. We needed some dessert this time and were heading through town from the Windward side so Pipeline was a good option for a quick stop. Slow down or you will miss the storefront on Waialae Ave. Parking is a pain in the @$$...well it's generally non existent...lol. Best thing is to have stay whit the car, while some else goes in and orders. Not a lot of room inside, the venue is on the smaller side. Lots of swag and goodies. No Ice Cream sampling as of this review. They are known for the "Cake Bombs"

#Sugar:
~ MALASADA BREAD PUDDING - 3.5/5
I had high expectations of this...
It sounded absolutely amazing on paper! But for us it was a bit better than OK in reality. The flavor profile is similar to a Cinnamon Bun, but far lighter and not a sugar bomb. We could hardly taste anything at the first bite, however it got better the more we ate.

~ CAKE BOMB:
- MATCHA GREEN TEA - 4.5/5
This was amazing! It is a bit on the sweeter side, I suggest trying some of the other flavors before you get to this one. The Matcha is also a bit strong, so the entire flavor profile can be a bit overpowering.

- STRAWBERRY GUAVA - 4/5
While this was good, we couldn't really taste the Guava. The Strawberry was overpowering, there was maybe a hint of Guava here and there.

Fluffy and made to order, my fave malasadas on oahu.... As compared to the pink box ones 😁 #iykyk

Cake bombs are super sweet but awesome too....

Street metered parking or free parking lot located up the street, always stop by here for malasadas and icecream when in Kaimuki.... 5 stars🤙

My favorite stop for malasadas every time I'm in Hawaii!! (Photos are from separate days 🙂 ) i go to the "other store" because they have custard cream flavor. I hope Pipeline will have a custard cream in the future 😅

I actually prefer the malasadas here over Leonard’s. They were light, fluffy, and not greasy at all. The ice cream was also delicious!

Staff was very friendly and the place is decorated well but a bit messy + in need of restocking in parts of the shop. There are no seats to sit whatever you order will be to-go.

Located on the corner of Waialae and Kokohead, stopped by this impressive Bakery and tried some of their amazing treats. Their Malasadas are better than Leonard’s). Pictured(6 classic and 6 li hing). Pumpkin crunch is also better than Aiea bowl! They also have a haupia/ube crunch and a Lilikoi/haupia crunch. Lastly, they have ice cream and milkshakes!

You must make a stop here if you are in the area. The hot malasadas were better than Leonard’s in my opinion. The homemade strawberry ice cream was excellent. I also tried the banana bread with chocolate chips which had good banana flavor but probably would have been better warm. The peanut butter cookie was tasty as was the energy bar which was more like a rice crispy treat. The cake bomb was lemony without being too much so and very moist. Went twice during my stay so far and will probably return again tonight.

Due to the exceptional quality and taste of the malasadas, I was unable to resist and consumed them rapidly, preventing me from taking additional photographs. This establishment offers the finest malasadas I have ever tasted. Additionally, I indulged in their freshly made coconut ice cream, which was truly remarkable. Finally, I savored their malasada bread pudding, which surpassed all my expectations for this dessert. It achieved a perfect balance of sweetness, avoiding excessive sugariness. I highly recommend trying it while it is warm.

Great dessert place. They sell out on a lot of treats very fast so it's good to go early. My favorite is the pumpkin crunch. Not too sweet and not too bland, it's just right. The bread pudding is also very good, make sure you ask them to warm it up for you if you're going to eat it right away. I want to try the ube cheesecake next time.
