unlike others i had a overall better than average experience, first things first i suggest being there by 6:45 give or take if you want to be seen for a interview that same day— be prepared to wait/stand— if you can’t stand for that long bring a chair—parking in the structure is i believe $1.50 per half hr— you will stand in line till about 8:45am when they open but.. (don’t quote me on this just rough estimate) like 7:45-8 they will start maybe even a little after 8 but they will start to hand out numbers and a half sheet of paper which you will fill out (name, social security number, case number, birthdate and reason for your visit) maybe bring a pen but if not they can give you a pen/clip board— you will then hold those items till they call your number— the security guard will then call your number and collect the half sheet of paper— you keep the number, they will then take the first wave of people up and you will take the elevator up and have a seat in the room— now it’s really just a waiting game from there.. i for instance was with the second wave of people that went up and wasn’t actually seen till about 11:30pm mind you i got there at 6:45am and was #26– we all need to be patient—the staff is trying there best to accommodate everyone/needs— i have been to several different welfare offices and this one was the best overall, as i sat and waited i observed how kind the staff was while trying to help people— remember food for thought it’s how you come off to people is how it will be reciprocated back— hope this helps! oh yeah again be prepared to wait a while so if you have appointments etc you might want to plan accordingly— the lady security guard may come off a little blunt and rude but people she’s just doing her job and fyi they monitor from upstairs what’s going on downstairs—she is again just doing her job.. hope this helps God Bless and good luck šŸ€ šŸ¤™šŸ»šŸ™šŸ»

Edit: 3/27/24
1) Don't call because you will be on hold for 2 hrs and it will either auto hang up or they will say "visit office"
2)Don't email because they never reply til 2 weeks later and it will say "visit office"
3) Don't leave a callback# because they dont return calls but if they do return, it seems they reply to voicemail only because it never rings for me
4) Just plan a day off and "VISIT THE OFFICE", walkins are accepted. The earlier you go, the shorter the wait time. During the early morning [by 830am], its guaranteed you will be seen by a worker the same day. I got out by 10am. If you go mid-morning to afternoon, good luck or just forget it and go another dayšŸ˜„

-------------------------------
The new phone services are terrible. I stayed on hold for 2 hours for someone to answer because:
1) leaving a vmail to request an action to take place instead of a callback was not done 2 weeks later, nor received any status or callback
2) leaving a callback# never received a return call
3) I needed to request assistance that was not part of their options given. When one answered, they only could say "they are unable to assist. You must visit the office."
4) email sent with detailed description to take action but no reply until 2 weeks later, which says "must visit the office" smh

RUDE RUDE RUDE! ive never had so many issues getting in touch with a REAL PERSON! all the numbers statewide send you to the same automated system which is frustrating considering that most of the things we need to speak about AREN'T OPTIONS FOR THE AUTOMATED PERSON šŸ’€ requesting for a callback through this automated System is ridiculous because when they do call you back, they don’t answer you completely. They just keep telling you to try again call again and stuff you give them everything that they ask for and they make you go through the whole process all over again. most frustrating location EVERRR

This place is a total joke. They ask for information and tell you to email it. You do, then they don't bother to check it or don't see it, and then start saying you never sent the info and start cancelling your benefits. You cannot get hold of anyone unless you want to stay on the phone for 2 hours. No one calls back if you leave a voicemail and no one replies to any emails. HOW IS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO CONTACT YOU GUYS?!

Applied for snap for me and my son on October way before my deadline for benefits to be renewed for 6 months. They haven’t gotten back to me until the ending of November. Same week they called me to turn in needed documents and did it the same week, it’s the day benefits are usually issued out and still NO WORKER has gotten back to me to update! I’ve been calling them the entire week to follow up and get a move with my SNAP but they don’t even answer their phones or at least follow what they say! People need a better serving system when we need help & are struggling!
