The spicy ahi was tasty and fresh, and the kimchi had a great, fresh flavor. The shrimp was delicious—large, well-cooked, and coated in a flavorful spicy sauce.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They even asked which utensil I preferred, a fork or a spoon for the coconut taro cake. Great customer service!

I was looking for poke like “Off the Hook” in Oahu and Pono Market came soooo through!!! I was desperately craving good poke and Pono answered my pleas. I went to Hanalei Poke before and it was so underwhelming I was upset. So Pono was my god. Very fast service, no fuss guy behind the counter just giving you a nod when you order, a friendly cashier, in and out. Big chunks of Ahi over rice, I could weep and fall to my knees. Pono market, you’ll see me again.

Loved the food was very cheap. Lots of locals getting lunch there so you knew it was a hot spot. Plate lunch ranged from $10-13 each.

Amazing food, we tried plenty of places and wish we ate here for every meal, definitely stop in! Best poke EVER, the pork melted in your mouth, the mac salad was fantastic. Everything, absolutely everything was phenomenal

We planned to drive to Waimea canyon from the north side of the island and stopped at Pono Market to pick up some lunch to eat at picnic areas in the state park. This is the way to do it! We were lucky in that we went on a Tuesday around 10AM so there were 4-5 locals there and otherwise no line.

They have various Hawaiian proteins available depending on the day + mac salad and/or rice AND poke. You can mix and match based on the plate you choose. They packed the food nicely.

We had rice + kalua pork + two ahi poke plate. It was perfection! Some of the best poke I've ever had. The fish melts in your mouth.

We will be back next time we're on the island!
