Today was my first time visiting Pooch Parlor and I was so pleasantly surprised that I almost don’t want to leave a review so others find out about them LOL. I took my mini Bernedoodle here for a bath after not being able to find an available last minute appointment at my usual spots. Though, I don’t think I’ll ever go back to the “usual” because Pooch Parlor was amazing! They charge reasonable rates and have very talented groomers that you can easily see their work as soon as you walk in. Brooke at the front of the store was so nice, patient and helpful getting our pup settled in and comfortable. Again, this was only for a bath today, but after the high quality result and from what I could see with other doodles getting cut, I can’t wait to take him back and my other doodle for a full grooming experience. If you have a doodle this is the place to take them if you’re looking for that nice fluffy teddy bear shaped haircut. Highly recommend 🙂

So lucky to find this place and I agree with all the positive reviews here. We just move to nyc and wasn’t happy with the services in the city for our large labradoodle. I think most cater for small dogs. This is our second visit, appointment booking is very easy. Most importantly our Boomer is happy there and he gets to hang out with other dogs. These dogs need regular grooming so it’s important they have a positive experience. Personal looks and style is secondary, I usually let the groomers do their thing. I think it turns out great! Thank you for taking good care of our baby.

We just moved to Edgewater from NYC, I explained Romeo would likely be anxious as it’s a new groomer. Staff were extremely accommodating and awesome- this may be Romeos best haircut ever. Can’t wait to come back.

I'm from Fort Lee and tried various dog groomers over here, and they all lacked consistency and craftsmanship. I would it give cookies & friends, and Maru groomers a 3.5 star at best

Then I found Chelsea at Pooch Parlor and I am so happy I did! Great workmanship and nice staff. Easy to book and sweet dogs at the parlor.
I found the perfect groomers and I'm so excited we have our forever groomers.

Ive taken my dog there 3 times, this last time was very disappointing. The nails of my dog were about bleed out and her teeth were not clean saying that my dog would bite when she doesn’t bite. The staff has not patience and gives up easily with huskies and even so I paid the full price and tipped for a service that wasn’t even half done. Don’t groomer huskies if you can’t deal with them!

I recently took my cavapoo to this groomer for his birthday, as I wanted him to look his best for some photos.

Here are my thoughts:

The positives: The staff was friendly, and the location was clean and easy to find.

On the downside: I had a specific style in mind (the teddy bear Asian style), which might have contributed to the issues I encountered. The cuts around his face seemed uneven and poorly blended. Additionally, I found it unusual that I was asked to pay before seeing the final results. After the grooming, I requested a partial refund, but they declined and instead offered to fix the issues. They did their best to make adjustments, but unfortunately, I was still not satisfied with the outcome.
