What a fantastic hidden gem! Sue, the owner, is a fabulous wine tasting guide and human. She spent over an hour sitting with us and chatting about the 45 years she and her family have spent tending to the land and growing their biodynamic wines. It turns out she was born in NJ (as am I!), and we exchanged many stories. Of course, the wines were unbelievable in their own right. The wines lean towards dry, savory, and rich with flavor. The views of the farm while we had the wine tasting were 11/10. I highly recommend making a stop at Porter-Bass!

Just go! This was by far our favorite winery we visited in Russian River area. We felt invited and cared for. The vineyard itself is gorgeous and tucked away. The wines are stellar. Can’t say enough good things. Oh, and there were cows!

Feels like you're sitting at a friend's house sipping really good wine. If you like down to earth, real people who appreciate the land they're on and have a passion for the products they make go here. We've been twice, both times we've visited the area and it is, hands down, the best wine tasting we've had. Thank you Sue.

What a great gem! We enjoyed a scenic bike ride up to their beautiful winery. Had a knowledgeable host and wines from our outdoor tasting were 6 for 6 - SO good. They also waived the tasting cost as we bought two bottles of wine! Definitely swing by if you’re in the area!

Finally opened their Pinot from 2020, no joke, one of the better Pinot noirs I’ve had in a long time. it was light and peppery. Enough blush to let you know that it came from and was handled by individuals that care about their craft. Going to the winery, you don’t get a huge hullabaloo, or glitzy glam, like you would from the the Disneyland, wineries of today’s Sonoma and Napa, counties, but something of more of a throwback of yesteryear, When it was more about the grape, and less about the show. I would recommend this winery to anyone who likes to take a road less traveled. The journey will reward you well.

Such a nice, intimate wine tasting experience. Sit under the tree with the owner and she’ll take you through the wine tasting. We had a nice chat on a sunny day and and took home a couple of bottles of wine. Really like their Chardonnay which isn’t super oaky. If you’re in the area, make a reservation for sure. Just know that for some reason google maps takes you on the very windy, narrow back roads but there is definitely a better way taking more major roads if you plan ahead a little.

This place was the most unique wine tasting experience I’ve had. Not fancy, no drama, just a vineyard with a few chairs and decent wine. Sue the host, is the sweetest. She has two cows on the property and couples her knowledge of wine with her simplicity to provide a truly memorable experience. Recommend the Chardonnay and olive oil.

Honest, down to earth winery with 4-5 bottles for tasting. Sit outside under a giant walnut tree overlooking the vineyard for the tasting, and stay after to see the chickens!

Cost of tasting is rolled into your bottle purchase
