Predatory tactics dealing with elderly clients. My mother apparently signed up to pay almost $300 monthly for lawn mowing service. The $300 is charged every month, even during fall and winter when minimal yard service is required. That’s over $3,000 annually, and it’s literally just lawn mowing. If you need a branch trimmed, that’s going to be extra. Everything is extra.

I took over some of my moms bills while she was in the hospital and determined we could pause on Proscape’s services for a while. Nope. Even after multiple calls and emails they refuse to discontinue service and send a final bill, but I do continue to receive a $300 bill every month for services they aren’t providing because it’s winter. I also asked for an overview of services provided and have received zero response.

The lawn maintenance guys were good. I liked them. But the business side of the organization is terrible. I would not recommend this business especially if you have elderly parents who won’t question highway robbery with pricing for their lawn care.

Proscape: If you read this, please send me a final statement of our outstanding balance and discontinue our service. We’re now going into month 5 waiting for this from you. Shame on you for for these deceptive and abusive tactics.

I requested a service through my house warranty... Crew of three show up on the appointment day.. So, I show them what I wanted them to do.. BUT, THE FIRST THING he said , instead of introducing them self who they are was he said, they only got half an hour.. So, I came back in the house and call the my warranty.. They told me is one hour.. So I went back outside and talked to the person in charge of the crew told him that I just got off the phone with my warranty and they say one hour.. And he still insisted half an hour.. So, if you are reading this , watch out.. This company is not responsive and are lairs..Maybe not the company but people that representing them will put bad mark on them or maybe they should teach them more instructive and professional. I will rated them half a star...

I used their services from 2015 to 2018 without issue. In mid-2018 I had to cancel for financial reasons. In early 2019 I reached out to them, asking to come back, and they were more than willing to put me back into their regular rotation without hesitation. Hell, the owner knew me by name after a year. Very happy with this company.

Overall, do not reccomend these guys.

Edit: after reading his reply to my comment, my review stands. Since haveing this issue, we've moved to Phoenix and have found a great landscape company.

We were never told we were outside of their service area and was never 'advised' of a additional service fee of anysort. If that was the case, we wouldn't have gone with them. It's that simple.

We never stated our problem as an 'emergency'. There was a leak but it wasn't actively leaking water everywhere. Just that our sprinklers wernt working, and when we tried to turn them on, it would leak. Thats definitely not an emergency lol..

Like I stated in the og review, you guys estimated a wait time of a few days/weeks, that was fine with us. BUT the dude Called us next day 20 minutes before showing us asking if he could look at it all because he had an opening. That's the facts. However you want to twist the story to benift your business is totally up to you.
And for the record , he even offered to do the work on the side because you guys charge so much. He was a no show for that too.
The reason we had a relative pay, is because it's 2021 and we don't carry checks.

The whole process from start to finish was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had while trying to get a service done.

July - Husband called to repair a sprinkler system repair, said they wouldn't have an opening for about a week or so, and that they'd have to give us a call back.
They called us back the next day and asked if we were available for someone to come look at our leak. Nothing else was discussed. Someone showed up 20 min later..

The repairman who shows up, has no work order or anything. We show him where he needs to go , and he starts to fix the leak, says he needs to go get the correct parts. He leaves and is gone for over an hour. Finally comes back and fixes the leak.
Leak is fixed but the problem continues and the repair turns into a potential job.

Repairman couldn't give us a rough quote to what the job would cost, so we called his boss.
We were firmly told the hourly rate is 55$/hr regardless and that we would be receiving a bill later.
We instructed the guy to go ahead and leave. So we could talk it over and go over finances. Nothing was discussed in terms of the price for the repair that was made. Again, I would just be billed later.

Jump ahead a few days, We attempted to reach out to the company once again, to get the rest of the sprinkler lines repaired. Called once left a message. Called twice. Third time the following day. We gave up. We even still have the huge trench in our yard the guy dug.

September - Fast forward 2 MONTHS. Husband gets a phone call. It's Proscapes owner. Apologizing because they lost our invoice for our repair and they need to know the address to where to bill..

Bill comes, there is a service charge AND a repair charge. Along with the hour Mr.repairguy was out purchasing parts.
Costing a little over 250$ in the end.

October- We call Proscape to pay the bill. Woman was very nice but unfortunately very unhelpful. As they DO NOT accept credit or debit, PayPal or any sort of electronic payment. Checks is the over way to pay. With the very rare exception of cash, but you have to meet up with someone.

(All of which would have been great information to know beforehand. As that already would have steared our business elsewhere.)

Overall, I really felt as if I was left in the dark thru out the whole experience.
About pricing from the get go, to my phone calls being ignored up untill they want money from me,
All the way down to the billing where they decided to charge a service fee PLUS the repair charge.
(I called several other places around to see if they do the same, and all said no, the travel charge usually falls off once a service is preformed)
So I guess these guys are special.

Only positive is that my leak is fixed. But I will never again use these guys for any sort of landscaping.

I DO NOT recommend this company for any type of services they offer. My experience with this company was horrible. If you go with Proscape for landscape services, I really hope your experience is better than mine...

Donavan and his crew are wonderful. Always on time, always courteous, always professional. I wouldn't consider any other company!
