Tried all 3 Tepary beans (white, brown and black). I do not normally eat beans but watched Road Scholar's online lectures on Indigenous cuisine and became intrigued. Very good (not mushy) texture which I prefer. Learned Tepary beans have HIGHEST PROTEIN CONTENT of all beans! Ramona Farms has excellent product, fast delivery and very warm Phone service.

Each order is timely and of the highest quality. I order all my beans from Romona Farms. Buying my foods from businesses that are owned and operated by Indigenous groups or individuals is, my best use of my food budget. It’s how I demonstrate my commitment to these communities and is by far the highest quality available.

Get the beans from the source. If you are lucky , you might get to see Ramona herself, or her daughter, and get some stories and lore. The road is unmarked and one feels like you are driving into some setup. The people are warm and friendly, very mom-and-pop operation

You have an amazing story and products! I learned about your foods when I recently visited the area and was researching authentic local foods. I then went on a quest to find and taste your products. I researched stores and restaurants and bought some tepary beans at a natural/local foods shop DT Mesa. I also had some at Valentine Restaurant in DT Phoenix. I even drove down to the Giles River Reservation to try traditional native foods at a small pop up market in the town there that I'd learned about in my sleuthing about your foods. In addition to buying them prepared, I cooked your brown tepary beans for my Aunt and Uncle who live in Maricopa County. They'd never had them or heard of them before. They turned out delicious! I especially love how healthy and filling they are! I watch my carbs and eat low glycemic foods. I'm so happy to have such a good option now with Tepary Beans! I brought all three kinds back to MN with me and I'll definitely help spread the word.

My wife Becky and son Roger visited Ramona Farms yesterday, (December 13th, 2021), and wanted me to share their review:
Very cool place! It is definitely open to the public even though it looks mostly industrial when you drive in. The farm store is over by the large drive-on scale in the northern most building. The turn off from the highway is a little scary, so let the speeder behind you by before you turn off. Also be sure to look at the turnoff from both the satellite view and the street view beforehand because otherwise you will probably miss the turn. This difficulty however, is what makes the experience so unique. It is very much worth the drive and is off the beaten path! Once you get inside the farm store you will find all sorts of American Indian Foods available for purchase along with friendly knowledgeable staff to assist you. We came for the brown Tepary Beans, but also ended up buying some 60 day corn, white Tepary Beans, and Garbanzo Beans as well. We are also super excited to try out all of the recipes that they gave us, and perhaps try growing a few of these native foods as well! Overall it was a really great experience! We will definitely stop by again if we are heading down that way!

My family loves their tepary beans and cornmeal. Healthy foods, grown with care. They do a great job with shipping and are very reliable.

I grind the soft wheat for cakes and the hard wheat for bread. I have been grinding grain since 1977. I was delighted to find Ramona Farms.
