I wanted to take a moment to give everyone a heads up about this wonderful little organic farm in east Chula Vista. Alyssa and her partner are completely dedicated to growing organic food and making it available to the community. These are the kind of vegetables and fruit that you would find at a farmer's market, but better! In addition we have also purchased the baked bread (amazing!!) and jellies (also awesome!) that Alyssa makes and are available for purchase. I'm so grateful that we can finally have a true farm to table experience in our own home with these two young amazing entrepreneurs. Once you eat their produce, you won't want to buy at a grocery store again. 🙂

We love our boxes from Ranchito Milkway!! Farmers, Christian and Alyssa, are inspirational as well as wonderful, super fun, hardworking people. They always have something new to show on the farm, tips on how to use the produce, and welcome thoughts on how to increase customer satisfaction. I have had other farm boxes before but I love that this farm often offers some interesting items that also help me try something new. I also appreciate that it is in Bonita! I highly recommend this farm—great fruits and veggies and also a place to learn more about how your food is grown in a way that is good for both you and the environment.

The veggies are unreal! I used to have trouble eating some greens until I found out that locally grown veggies taste a million times better than ones in the grocery store.

On top of the delicious veggies the farmers take extra care to educate me on new items in my box that aren’t commonly found at the grocery store. If you’re into learning about locally sourced food and stuff I high recommend ?

Another perk is on some days they give tours of the farm so you can see and learn how the food was grown before it’s harvested for your special box

Ranchero Milkyway is an incredible farm with fantastic produce boxes filled with the bounty of their devoted labor as organic farmers. My kids also like to run around and “help” which makes it a good experience going to pickup the fresh goodness.
