Even in early February there was still plenty of colour and things to look at. A pleasant way to spend a few hours. Worth checking ahead of time whether there are exhibitions on - I saw a lovely display of mosaics

Beautiful to go at different times of the year to see the changing seasons. A big site with lots to explore with Betty's or Harrogate Arms for a drink or something to eat or take a picnic weather permitting. A lovely shop with different makers gifts and cards. Plus a wonderful garden and gift shop selling so many different things from food, to books, to jewellery and more at the entrance. You can go in this and Betty's without going in the site but it is worth going in too. Lots of parking and toilets at the entrance too.

Went to the 'glow' on Wednesday evening. This event is beyond spectacular. Everything about the night was superb, apart from the rain!!. The lights were magical, festive food and drink really good. The event well organised and all staff friendly and helpful. AND... The price lower than other similar events. Can't rate this experience highly enough. Will definitely go back next year.

What a beautiful experience and well worth every penny! Parking was great as was access around the site (although a bit gravelly in places). Every corner you turned gave way to another amazing display of plants and trees illuminated by outstanding lighting. We were recommended to come and I would do the same to others.

Had a lovely visit on a busy half term day. It was Halloween and lots of children were in fancy dress, it was a lovely atmosphere

The gardens still looked great, even though it was the end of October

Two of the food outlets are run by Betty's. We used the kiosk and ate outdoors and the food was amazing, delicious bread, soup and sandwiches

I recently visited Harlow Carr, and it was a fantastic experience! The gardens are beautifully maintained, showcasing a diverse range of plants and flowers that change with the seasons. The walking paths are well laid out, making it easy to explore the various themed areas, including the stunning wildflower garden and the tranquil woodland. A beautiful afternoon spent wandering around this beautifully kept garden! So much to see and plenty of seats to stop and gaze!! The flowers are blooming so magnificently!! We have just joined as members, so can’t wait to come back and explore the garden through each changing season!!

So beautiful all the year round especially in Spring and Autumn. Exceptionally looked after by very happy gardeners. Be ready to have your breath taken by the sheer brilliance of the variety of colours shapes and techniques. We've had 3 visits this year already. Read about the forthcoming RHS Glow in the 4 weeks before Christmas, it's a magical evening walk.
