Wow! This place is tops. Food is fantastic !! Portions are big enough for 2. Views are breathtaking. Good selection of beer and wine. Service is very cheerful and helpful, but a tad slow (might be the kitchen), but the wait is worth it. Free off street parking. Easy access, with elevator for the 2nd floor.

Finally found a place that reminds me of home. The food was very good the beat spinach artichoke dip i have had, the dipping bread was delicious. Also had the goat cheese salad and it had the perfect amount of dressing. Nicely presented. Server was This is great stuff!. Will return!

The portions are small but mighty. My Elk Tenderloin was cooked to perfection. It had a huckleberry sauce that was out of this world. If you're looking for some place private, this establishment is not it! It was crowded, and the layout of the building made it very loud. If you're on a time limit, plan accordingly because it was a bit of a wait for a table. Worth it, though! For dessert, I reccomend the tiramisu. It's incredible!

Rustic Goat is known for fabulous food and perfect staff.
The ambience delights with perfect lighting and upbeat background music šŸŽ¶ to highlight a good mood.
I found this spot in 2018 when the coffee bar was a crowd pleaser.
It’s all about the food this many years later as it should be.
Some of the same staff since my first visit remaining serving food with perfect service.
The windows and high ceilings are a reflection on a perfect building to show case the success over the years. Bar seating and table service depending on your preference.
Highly recommend.
If your appetite leaves room for dessert, the carrot cake is delicious.
Had to take mine home, so good!

Rustic Goat was truly an experience. We loved being able to see the chefs cook while enjoying our drinks and delicious appetizers!

We ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos and the Crab Dip w/ Pita Bread.

The nachos were a 10/10, loved that there was cheese on every chip & the sauce on top was amazing!!

Crab dip w/ Pita Bread was so sooo good. Pita bread were warm & soft. The crab dip was yummy and flavorful!

We can’t wait to come back and try new foods on the menu šŸ˜‹

Went to the Rustic Goat to celebrate my birthday with my family. The atmosphere and staff were good but the food was lacking in almost all of our opinions. Two of us ordered the steak and fries and the steak was flavorless and undercooked. Didn’t send it back because we didn’t want to delay dinner any further since the restaurant was busy. I’m pretty sure we got some kind of slight food poisoning from the steak dish since the two of us that ordered it spent the next two days in the bathroom and had bad stomach aches. The scallop risotto was not good either. The scallops and prosciutto were pretty good but the actual risotto was overcooked. The nachos were good. For the price and food quality, I will not be going back.

This is our third time eating at Rustic Goat—it remains my favorite restaurant in Anchorage.

First, the decor/atmosphere is great. It’s always busy, so we recommend a reservation. If you tell them it’s a special occasion, they will personalize your experience.

Second, the food is fantastic. Now, I am not going to say that every dish is an unbeatable star, but every dish is prepared well and tastes good. You’re not going to get something randomly thrown on the plate, coated in oil because someone was rushed.

Third, the service is exceptional. Service in this area can be severely lacking. We have been to many restaurants where we were forgotten. Here we are always treated well. Every time we go, we can count on great service that is attentive, but not annoying. I’m so used to having lackluster service that I’m always a bit surprised that the service is on point.

They do have specials; we had the salmon mousse (such a great take on the ever-present salmon dip at local restaurants). I also got the crab bisque—it was so good. Bisque can sometimes be overly rich, but this was perfect. I even got some to go so that a friend and I could puzzle out what makes it so good. Not pictured was the burger. The server said it was teriyaki, and my husband asked for the sauce on the side, thinking it wouldn’t be that good. It was great & he wished he’d trusted the chefs.

You can’t go wrong with Rustic Goat!

Oh-for four beers, two soups, an appetizer and one entree, it was $100 without tip.

Parking is easy in an overflow lot across the street. There is limited outdoor seating upstairs. It can be loud with the noise of patrons—music is not overbearing.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Rustic Goat. Good variety of options, we tried the scallops with risotto, their burger of the month and elk loin. Had never had elk before and it was delicious. Their iced tea is made from Earl Grey tea which gave it a citrus taste. Tried their lemon loaf and bread pudding which was Oreo flavored. Both desserts were large portions excellent for sharing.
