We used to love this place but had an awful
Experience on Feb 1st, 2025. Received the vegetarian Pho with a Cockroach in it 🤮Totally grossed out after that experience and had to leave, ruining our Saturday night dinner plans. Feel extremely apprehensive of coming back to this place.

I used to have one go to pho spot but ever since I tried the lemongrass pho with brisket from this place, I've been addicted!!! I order it at least 2 to three times a month to go and it always hits the spot. Delicious and so fulfilling.

This is now my second time ordering food from the Central Avenue location of this restaurant and having a cockroach in my food. Specifically, the garlic sautee. The first time I let it go, as I thought it was an accident, but now being the second time, it appears the restaurant has an infestation issue. Would not recommend ordering and please check your food before eating.

Spring roll: 10/10
Grilled pork vermicelli: 5/10. The grilled pork used very little/ missing lemongrass flavors. Noodle portion is tiny.
Bahn Mi: 6/10 the roll should have used French baguette. The roll itself is overly bready and lack of texture.
Nice service. Do not recommend if you know what’s authentic.

I ordered the Banh Mi and Chicken Satay for pick up and it was ready on time, the people were friendly.
The restaurant was quiet but it was also lunch time so I assume its most popular during the day for pickup.

The chicke satay was tender and delicious.
The banh mi was perfect. I asked for extra mayo as in the past at other places its been too dry and this was just amazing. Tender, saucy, flavourful and the bread was crispy but soft.

Idk if there's been some staff turn overs but the food has been a hit or miss sometimes. Sometimes the pho is really amazing and sometimes it's pretty salty and same situation with the grilled pork bahn mi. And I'm not really a fan of the peanut sauce for the spring roll. The vermicelli noodles are usually pretty good tho, and refreshing.
I feel like the service has changed to being just-okay after seeing some newer faces. The owner is usually pretty nice tho.
There was a day that I really didn't appreciate being served food on a plate that had several chipped edges.
