Beautiful place! We went on a field trip with our school. It was much too hot today to stay and see it all, but we will definitely come back out. You can get a lot of steps in here. I think it's worth the drive. My children enjoyed it too.

Exotic and California natives are displayed in geographically defined locations. Great educational resources and a stunning tropical greenhouse with orchids, bromeliads, and seasonal displays (Poinsettias are gorgeous now).

Went to see the Lightscape exhibit and I cannot recommend it enough! It's just amazing and beautiful - with a bunch of different designers having set up different and entrancing lighting displays (all accompanied by music.)
Go get tickets and see it if you can! (Important: you have to buy the tickets in advance or there's a strong chance you won't get in!)

Beautifully maintained gardens! We paid at the front desk, it wasn't crowded on a weekday afternoon. Lots of plants from New Zealand, Africa, Australia, Mexico and the Americas. They also have water fountains by the restrooms which is very convenient. New cafe coming soon!

Great way to spend a day. Parking is free. $12 admission for seniors and vets. Just under 2 miles to walk the entire garden.

The garden is awesome, easy to access pathways, for the most part, and a friendly staff. I wish the inside tropical space was larger, but it was still full of beautiful plants. It's worth a visit for plant people and garden enthusiasts.

It is a very beautiful garden in which I hope more people visit. I love the diversity within the plants and has many areas like the children area in which my children enjoyed.
