What better way is there than to spend a Saturday strolling through the Farmers Market in downtown Santa Barbara picking up fresh produce and other items? Being a visitor from another state that doesn’t enjoy such a thing, I was filled with gratitude that I could meet the people who put the work into producing the fresh vegetables and fruits that I could later enjoy with my family and friends.

I stumbled upon the farmers market while hanging out in Santa Barbara for a few days, and it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon! This one is the real deal, featuring a wide selection of organic produce, plus fresh local seafood, meat, and baked goods. It's big enough that you can comparison shop for the best tomatoes or peaches, and compact enough to navigate easily. Great for people watching and listening to more- or less-talented buskers.

Best way to spend a Saturday morning in Santa Barbara in the summer, OR for that matter any season. It's lively with music usually sunshine and lots of people who are in their happy places. Prices are not cheap, but my wife swears the product is better. I don't know about that but if you consider it entertainment it's not a bad deal.

This has to be the best day for farmers market in Santa Barbara. It's got everything you need from plenty of fresh veggies to an assortment of flowers and meats. I love getting a coffee from Dune beforehand and then taking my time strolling the isles talking with all of the friendly vendors. Such a great experience. Love these markets.
