I remember I was in need of sesame seeds for a mole and I stopped by the Seaside Santa Fe store. I stopped by the door to look at the ad. A young lady walked up to me and in Spanish told me 'they' don't 'like' animals in the store, referencing my Service Animal. True she did not have her Service Animal vest, since I had only anticipated filling with gas. I replied that she is a Service Animal. The young lady asked if she was an 'Emotional Support' animal. Again I replied she is a trained Service Animal. The young lady proceeded to ask for the Service Animal Credentials, making a gesture with her hand. I replied she did not need a credential. Then she proceeded to call a Supervisor on her walkie-talkie. I went back to look at the ad. When I was done, I asked if she was refusing us access to the store, she replied 'no' but asked that I wait for the manager. So, indeed she was refusing us access to the store until the Manager spoke to me. Manager arrived and asked if indeed was a Trained Service Animal. I replied yes, that I suffer from anxiety and she is trained to assist me (very expensive training). She is considered the same as a medical device. The manager said ok to allow us in. I mentioned that the young lady asked for credentials and that was not appropriate. I cannot wait until Mi Tierra reopenes. In the meantime I will no longer patronize a store where we are refused entry, received dirty looks and heard her talking about us. I do speak Spanish fluently so I did understand what was being said. There are only two questions that can be asked. She did not ask either of those questions rather asked for credentials. Why assume my Service Animal is an Emotional Support Animal after I told her she is a Service Animal? I only picked up two items but felt very uncomfortable. Mind you I was not rude, belligerent or disrespectful. I was trying to maintain my calm when faced with such ignorance. Tried emailing corporate but only able to locate an email address. Very disappointed. Very embarrassed.

Used to love this place for the fresh made salsas but I went in 2 days ago for some and my husband and I got food poisoning. Also-I was ignored by the older salsa counter gentleman because I don’t look like I speak Spanish. 😒

I ordered a CA burrito and a taco. Burrito was filled with mostly potato, some avocado and a sliver of meat. Taco meat was hard. Never coming back and would not recommend.

Great selection of food but the cashiers always have an attitude. I went in 11-01-23 around 5pm to buy some chicken as I headed to check out the cashier did not greet or say a single word to me while side eyeing me as if I had unconvinced her. I forgot my wallet in the car and asked her kindly if she would but my singular item aside will I went to get my wallet in the car. she gives me a nasty look which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. Once I had my wallet I proceed to go back in line to wait my turn again at the checkout which I didn't mind since it was my fault for forgetting my wallet but as I checked out with her a second time she rolled her eyes and still proceeded to say nothing to me. such a disappointment from a store that has great variety.

Nice super market. Inexpensive in comparison with the area. Good food options and sweet bread.
