We were on our way to visit my grandma in Guadalupe from from our 3-day camping trip in Santa Barbara when we decided to first check out the River View Park in Buellton. I did not expect to find a Botanical Garden inside the park. I’m so glad we decided to check it and had a great time exploring it! Check the photos/videos to see what we found.

By far, the coolest park in the valley! I'm incredibly impressed that people donate their time to make this so fun for the kids. My children described the botanical area as an enchanted forest, so fun! There's also two playgrounds, a walking path, basketball courts, and a large grassy area. It looks like you can even host a wedding there. Great restrooms!

Overall, the garden area was pleasant. Most plants were not looking too well, but that's to be expected in fall. The signage and markers made for an edutaining time. A book box was a pleasant surprise to see, and a wonderful treat for any children that visit. Be aware of surroundings as there are possible snakes in the area, although we came across none. Relaxing experience indeed.

I didn't know it was there until my 4 year old grandson told me about it. He really likes going there. So he and I went and we had a good time. We love all the different trails and stuff you can do there.
