Fell in love with this place as soon as we pulled in. It was highly recommended from Friends and acquaintances. They have fresh meat they have frozen meat they have cut to order meat they have all different kinds of pimento cheese they even have some frozen vegetables and seafood. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and we had a great time. The store is in the school bus that sits in the yard as you pull in oh, you go to the left and park and walk in where a staff will help you. We got some delicious fresh eggs from from farm chickens. Go give these a guy's a try there's just about everything out there they make some homemade stuff that will just make you go crazy, they have things called hog legs dinosaur eggs and you'll just have to check out their Facebook to understand.

I DO NOT recommend. Shana has a rude, aggressive attitude and doesn’t know how to talk to a paying customer! I will make sure to inform my patients and friends to avoid her business. I pulled in at 7:18, thinking she closes at 8 but it turned out to actually be 7 and I forgot to call her in advance. I went through a wide open gate there and I didn’t notice a closed sign that was hanging to the left of the driveway because of no lighting around it and a car was pulling out with their bright headlights. Her first remark to me was “she couldn’t believe” I drove through her gate. I apologized and told her how I was unsure about when she closed. I asked her if she’d still take the deer since her helpers still had 4-5 more deer to skin and clean. I told her I paid her 3 months prior for a membership to reserve me a spot in her freezer. I even offered to pay her extra and to tip her helpers since I was 18 minutes late but she refused to take the deer. It’s the way she handled the situation with her remarks and attitude that is unacceptable and she has lost all of mine and my families future business!

Absolute finest market and deer processor anywhere in the area. The quality and attention to detail from Shana and her staff sets Shana’s Place apart from the rest. The deer membership program has allowed hunters a guarantee that she will be able to take our deer no matter the time of year. I drive over an hour to Shana’s to make sure the deer for my family is done right. The fresh cuts of meat and creations from her market store are wonderful. It’s definitely worth the drive to Shorter from wherever you are to experience what Shana’s has to offer.

Shana's Place is amazing!!! Y'all need to make a trip to Shorter, AL just to check it out. If you like meat you will be in a little shop of heaven. Everything is fresh and mostly local. You will not be disappointed.

If you can't make it down there, don't worry check out her Facebook page and email to get the weekly 7 page menu, (Comes out every Wednesday!) Cause now they are SHIPPING!!!!

grilled my first pinwheel roll from shana place. have eaten lots of deer preped in different ways but this was absolutely unbelievable. she made the best meat l have ever tasted. l will be sure to contact her about these pinwheel rolls. better than any steak or cut of meat you will ever eat! she has got it down to an art! would give it 10 stars if l could! well done Shana! up here on lake martin! thank you, thank you!

Absolutely every thing I have ever tried from here is legit the best! I'm currently eating the last of my deer/jalapeno tamales and now my my guy needs to kill another deer and get nothing but these tamales cause I'm hooked! My absolute favorite is the jalapeno cheese smoked sausage. My daughter and I will kill a whole pack alone in one sitting. They take pride in the processing and do a phenomenal job! Been coming for years now and won't go anywhere else.

New to Shana's place but excited to have her process two bucks for me! I bought two 1/2 pound brisket conecuh jalapeño and cheese patties came home and cooked them on the grill and they were Awesome!
