In town for a work related job. Me & a co- worker stopped in to eat. Food was awesome and our sever was even better! Melvin keep up the work my friend we see you! Great things will come your way!

Would totally recommend. Food was fantastic! Shrimp and white fish basket with a side of sweet potatoes and Caramel sauce. YUM!! Grilled white fish was great also. Danielle and Ken took great care of us and were super friendly!.

My husband and I had never eaten here before and they didn’t disappoint. Our server Shana took great care of us and with a smile. She was awesome, the portions were generous, the food was delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We will definitely come back.

Thiis is my first time visiting the Shrimp Basket. I will tell you that it is the best catfish I have eaten in 3 states this year. The waitresses were all pleasant and nice. Very great service. My new favorite Seafood Restaurant!!!!!

We were traveling through town and actually looking for another restaurant when we turned around to try this spot. Their signage and lighting caught my attention. I am so glad we stopped!
It is not a very fancy place but the service by Torey was fantastic. She was very friendly & took great care of us.
I chose the Shrimp Tacos, and they were the best fried I’ve ever had! The flavor combination and crispy shell were outstanding. Everything just worked together! I normally would not have chosen a Taco at a place like this, but I did not see an Oyster combo on the menu, so it was a fluke that I ordered them. I also ordered a Two Fried Oyster add-on, and they were quite tasty! Fried just right, without being too soft inside.
This was my first time ever visiting a Shrimp Basket, and I will definitely be on the lookout for another. I highly recommend trying the Tacos, and I will without hesitation order again! I was raving so, my husband just had to have a bite. My meal won out over his Seafood Combo.

Honestly, this place isn’t great. I ate here a couple of days ago with my dad and had a pretty iffy experience. I definitely won’t be back here again because of it.

Our server was fantastic though (I can’t remember her name, but she was absolutely wonderful)! She was very attentive, hardworking, and made sure we were satisfied with our meals. The other servers who were working that day were either not working diligently or were on a break because there were three other servers talking at a table in the back for about an hour while this girl was running around making sure all her tables were satisfied. She did a fantastic job at handling the situation though.

She was really the best part about this restaurant because everything basically goes downhill from there.

Negatives:
-The bathrooms are DISGUSTING
-Silverware was dirty (asked for a new fork)
-Out of several items or were told they were not good and to not order them
-Portions are pretty small for the price
-OVERPRICED FOOD
-Fries were droopy (not very crispy)

Positives
-The combo basket with whitefish and shrimp was good (waitress recommended), but the portion was small.
-The homemade ranch and hot sauce was really good on the fish.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t be back. There are better seafood places in Tuscaloosa. You’re better off going to the Captain D’s next door than here.

We love all of the shrimp Basket locations. Our a favorite item on the menu Is their shrimp basket, but occasionally we will get the popcorn shrimp or the shrimp poor boy . Occasionally my wife will get the crabcakes. They are all excellent. And I love their shrimp slaw which you get with the shrimp basket or as a side. The service there is usually quick unless they have a huge crowd. I don’t take the three star rating on atmosphere as a knock on the franchise. The atmosphere is just fine, It’s just nothing fancy.

Decent prices for seafood. Waitress was great. Coconut shrimp was good along with the bang bang fries (I think that's what they are called). Super greasy though so be prepared. Red fish was really salty or the sauce on top was, hard to tell and it was overcooked.
