If you're not up to farming, but into growing your own fruits and vegatables, Somerset Community Garden is the perfect place for you. I'm a NYC man, so up until a couple of years ago this was kind of foreign to me. I allowed mysel to be coaxed into helping her with the garden last year, then this year. As always, she was right about it being a great new thing for me. The setting is beautiful, a church that divided it's huge back area into 10x10 lots and rents them to people in the community for $20 for the season. My wife usually takes 3 and we grow many of the vegatables we eat during the spring-fall season. Here... I can show you better than I can tell you.

A great place to grow your veggies! For a small fee you get a 10 by 10 feet plot for the growing season. The place is fenced against deer and rabbits, water hoses are installed. Handicap plots (raised beds) are available. No chemicals allowed in the gardens. Grow your own natural and organic food and meet fellow gardeners! For more info check their web site.
