I have been here several times. The food is so so good. The philly's are to die for worth every penny. I joke that it is witch craft the way the hoagie is both moist and NOT soggy but also crunchy... I can not say enough good things the cooks always make it taste the same exact way. Erin and April are so sweet and are constantly running around making sure to take good care of everyone.

The portions were huge as we definitely enjoyed our meal and had lots of leftovers to take home. The salad was one of the freshest salads I've ever had in a long time and may not get enough credit at a Philly cheesesteak place but it was really really good. We all had Philly cheesesteaks cooked to perfection with each one custom made. They came with a bag of chips but we also had onion rings and tots in both of those came out hot and fresh. Enough about my experience you really have to try this place if you have not... it's a hidden gem!!

Friends told us that the sandwiches and onion rings at South Philly Cheesesteaks we’re great. We are here to tell you that the sandwiches, onion rings and fries are absolutely awesome! The meat was tender and the rolls were amazingly fresh, combined with the veggies it was a great winning combination. Our server was excellent. Try them once and you’ll be a raving fan.

Amazing experience. 10/10 food, 10/10 service, and 10/10 establishment. The cheesesteaks were amazing, the employee's were very kind, quick, and diligent. They provided a high chair the moment they saw my baby brother in my arms. Highly recommend going here.

This was my first time coming to this restaurant on my lunch break and I don’t think I will be returning. How are you supposed to eat a Philly cheesesteak with bread that is so wet and soggy it flops over before it can make it to your mouth. Also, the fact that you have to pay extra for mushrooms on a Philly cheesesteak that already is $15 is questionable. But besides this the cheesesteak in itself is very disappointing and was not appetizing as soon as I received it.

Busy place so call in your order before coming to pick it up. I had to wait 20 for my sandwich, but it was worth it.

The sandwiches are LOADED!! The staff were friendly and made some helpful recommendations. Tried the following:

Cheesesteak -- good but a bit spicy
Garlic bomb -- good but has too much garlic
Choc banana milk shake -- very good and thick

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Next time I'd ask for a little less hot pepper for the Cheesesteak, and for the garlic bomb don't add garlic to meat just get the meat on the garlic bread. I'd also ask for half the amount of cheese because they're pretty generous with the cheese and you can really taste it which takes away from the steak flavor.

They also include a bag of chips with your sandwich which is pretty cool.

Definitely try them out!

I lived in Philly for a while, so my expectations were a bit high. Needless to say, when I first set eyes on the sandwich, I was disappointed. The sandwich tasted pretty good. It just didn't bring back memories of a true Philly cheesesteak.
