Steele hall has improved the property bigtime compared to the previous brewery slag heap. There is a huge outdoor area with plenty of seating and places for kids to run around. The inside is a comfortable place to have a beer. I had the Bama beer which was a little bit hoppy but overall pretty good. Great location.

Good little brewery in Trussville. Not a lot of taps but high quality ones. Had the lime wheat and dragon berry/passion fruit sour. Both were very good. Clean, small space inside and seems family friendly. Took the place of Slagheap Brewing. The outside area next to it is awesome for good weather and plenty of seating, so it's in a nice area.

Cool local brewery with 10 beers on tap plus a root beer. Unfortunately the keg on the root beer blew so can’t give a review on that. There were 3 IPA’s, 2 brown ales, a blonde, a lager, a sour, a wheat and an Italian pilsener. The bartender offered free samples of every beer we asked to try. I went with the Where’s the Sun? My wife had the Camellia which seems to be there flagship beer. The brown ales were great as well. We will definitely be back and hopefully will get to try some different beers.

This nanobrewery offers a nicely designed "Biergarten" with plenty of space for larger groups, tables for families, and an open space for kids to play. The inside has tables and one area is dominated by 4 couches for relaxing and longer discussions. The entire brewery seems to be designed to invite communication and I felt welcomed and at home starting with my first visit. Staff oozes southern hospitality and is happy to answer questions. You can bring outside food (Biergarten!) but they also have a food truck on weekends.
The fifth star comes when they have a few more brews under their belt. It's hard to avoid cross pollination when you brew sours and lagers in the same brewhouse and finding the right balance of iso-alpha acids and fruit-forward hops needs experience and probably some adjustments to the water.

My son and I had the best little date night hangout here after dinner at Mr West’s right next door. My son was offered some root beer to try while I explored the beer flavors and sampled a few. We enjoyed a great time outside where we saw other families and lots of doggies. Staff were outside periodically offering to get refills & checking on patrons. I haven’t seen this at other breweries and I thought it was such a nice touch, especially if you have kids or pets. Highly recommend and the beer was delicious!

Friendly service, fun space (mostly outdoors, some inside seats), and tasty beer. Also next to a ton of other amenities. A good addition to a transforming downtown Trussville.

Service was friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic. The outdoor chairs were really comfortable. Bama beer was ok and the IPA they had on tap was hard to stomach. Very astringent and soured tasting.
