So many places to choose from. How does one decide which one to go to.

Theoretically one can go to all of them- you need gumption or time or no driving later or a place to stay in LO or a lot of money or all of the above. Coming from far away Dubai, we had to choose one and we chose SoS- and we are glad we did. All the wines were very good- my favourite though was the Gamay. Very light and with an afterthought of a taste.

Alyssa (hope I got the name right) was amazing. Explained all the stuff about the wines. Very well travelled (best of luck traveling to Italy to try out the wines this time).

All wines in neutral oak. Enjoyed ourselves.

I had a great tasting experience at Story of Soil. Excellent outdoor space, great hosts and amazing wines! Definitely come to this tasting room the next time you are in Los Olivos! You will not be disappointed excellent Pinot, Grenache and Syrah!

I wanted to like this place as it was recommended to us. Unfortunately, none of the wines we tasted stood out. It is a cute tasting room, though, with plenty of seats outside to enjoy the warm weather.

Amazing find in Los Olivos. Had received many industry suggestions to visit - and the wines exceeded all expectations. Brady did a great job explaining the work behind some incredibly crafted wines. Will definitely be back!

I love many wineries in Los Olivos and surrounding areas. So many. This is my absolute favorite! I love all of the wines, especially the Gamay. Brandon provides a lovely tasting experience, he is knowledgeable and we have learned so much from him you should give this place a try, it is awesome.

If you are looking for unique wines in the SY Valley this is the place. As you smell and taste the wines you will smell and taste memories long forgotten but still familiar as if they occurred just yesterday. The wines bring you back to a time you didn’t know you had forgotten but needed to return to. You can go to any tasting room to taste wine but you go to Story of Soil to taste a Story of Soul.
