Such a wonderful local nursery! I went in to get some vegetable and herb plants. They had so many choices! And I ran into one of the owners and he talked with me for about 20 minutes patiently explaining how to care for the plants. It was very much appreciated!
I replanted everything and I am following his instructions and so far they are doing very well.
I know I will be back. They have tons of pre-potted plants, hanging baskets, different soils, flats with beautiful flowers.
The place is huge. There are like 8-10 different greenhouses. If you don't see what you are looking for, ASK! They are very helpful!
Can't think of going anywhere else!

I dealt with Taddeo's Greenhouses from Italy to arrange a delivery in Haverford. They were courteous, accommodating and efficient. I heartily recommend them and hope to visit one day.

There's an amazing selection of geraniums, verbena, coleus, and other things. My sister and I were stalking coral and purple and we were spoiled for choice. Dress appropriately. It's a warren of greenhouses with narrow aisles. Flats are readily available so load up and bring helpers because it is very self serve. I am very pleased. I'll make this a yearly tradition for when I visit the area.

Family-owned, multi- generation, local plant store. As the world's goes crazy Taddeo's keeps you grounded with great annuals, perennials, and veggies. Get digging. Get planting. Get to Taddeo's.

I feel bad as I write this. I want to like taddeos, but I can't recommend them in good conscience. I've worked in greenhouses and peripheral jobs. This one is struggling very obviously. I wish it would be different, but it isn't.

It is disorganized. Annuals and perennials are mixed together. There are few shrubs available. Almost nothing is native to PA. And 0 items have price tags.
I have waited in line only to be pushed aside to people who walked in after me. I've watched the cashier recount the items in front of her 3 times before naming the price. I like the determination to be thorough, but feel uncomfortable considering nothing is priced out for customers.
I have asked questions to employees. Many go unanswered. A little bit of knowledge and expertise goes a long way. However I, as a young person, seem to have more experience than the employees that outdate me by decades.

Overall, one star for customer service. One star for organization and buyer ease. One star for management, coming from someone who knows what good greenhouse management looks like. Taddeos, this isn't meant to be rude or put you down. It's a call to be better. I want you guys to stay around. But you have to compete with the big guys. Please, read this and invest in your business. It's time.
