The Alchemist is a must-visit destination for any craft beer enthusiast! This is the only place where you can experience their legendary Heady Topper on draft—reason enough to make the trip. I was pleasantly surprised by their Wee Widdle Wabbit Scotch Ale, which was absolutely outstanding. My only regret was not being able to take a 4-pack home with me.

The atmosphere on Friday night was fantastic with a live band adding to the vibrant energy. I really appreciated their policy of limiting capacity to seated guests, ensuring everyone has space to relax and enjoy their brews without feeling cramped.

The brewery itself is visually engaging with impressive artwork throughout the space, making even the environment part of the experience. Whether you're a dedicated beer aficionado or just looking for a great night out in Stowe, The Alchemist delivers a top-tier experience. While I wish they would expand their reach, I can't help but always think that I'm wrong when I come here. I'm always amazed how this brewery evolves year after year and always seems to have their customers in mind with everything they do. Whether it be keeping their prices lower than most, or expanding their selection, and even the little things like the art work on site, I can't help but be amazed and happy that they exist and I've been able to experience their growth over the decades.

I haven’t even pulled out of the parking lot and I needed to leave a review. My husband and I booked a last minute tour, drove over an hour to get here and we weren’t disappointed. Fred was so kind, very informative and we loved the information he provided us about the Alchemist. I love how dedicated they are to being as environmentally friendly as possible. I can’t recall any other brewery tour we’ve ever been on that takes into consideration what they do. The beer speaks for itself and probably lead to why I’m writing this currently. The rest of the staff were so friendly and provided us with local recommendations and advice on the holiday weekend. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Best brewery tasting room I have ever been to! So cool and they have the legendary heady topper! Would have stayed for hours however have to drink responsibly. I did buy some focal banger to take home. Great spot for Apres everything!

A great spot to hang out. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent beers. For a brewery, it may strike some as odd that they only have one beer available on tap (you can guess which one it is 😉 ), but their excellent can and bottle selection makes up for it. There are food trucks around the property, and I was not disappointed with either of them, and I got to watch the canning machine while I was drinking, which was a very interesting process! Definitely recommend for all craft beer lovers, and especially IPA lovers

The hand pulled Heady Topper actually does bring out the sweetness of the malt and softens the hops. The prices of cans out of the brewery for Heady & Focal are $13/4 pack at time of writing. Truly incredible. The beer is still really good.

Artwork is unique in tap room, check out the bathrooms too. INSANE artwork in there.

Free pretzels, cheddy topper (cheddar cheese) and smoked nuts was a pleasant surprise. They gave a good serving of free cheese too.

We drove 5 hours from Syracsue t9 come here, and it did not disappoint! I could say more, but I think this speaks to the quality of their beer!
