Very helpful lady at the front desk who told us about the property. It's a cool place to wander around. We saw lots of hummingbirds and a super cute big bee. There was a stellar's Jay, and we enjoyed their sculptures, too. There was a baby duck jumping out of the water to catch bugs, and it made my heart so happy.

A beautiful spot tucked away in the national forest where they have spent a long time growing plants local to northern Arizona. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the plants and about the history of the arboretum.

Went to the Arboretum Pumpkin Walk on 10/26, and it was unfortunately a let down. The parking lot filled up 15 minutes after the event opened (4 pm), so you are told to park on the road and need to walk up to the arboretum (also, something that is not stated anywhere - the last 2 miles to get to the Arboretum is a bumpy dirt road, less accessible to sedans). Decorations were minimal, only 2-3 little installations that are fall/halloween themed, the pumpkin “walk” is just a little path when you first enter that’s just lights on the ground and carved pumpkins - not as awe inspiring as advertised- activities are minimal as well, and there is one food truck, a popcorn stand, and one booth for adult beverages (3 options; 2 IPAs & a homemade mulled wine), and the lines get long and are a long wait. Seating is also minimal. There is also one bathroom area only in the front, so of course long wait.
Ultimately, probably something fun to do for very little children or if you’re already an arboretum member and have a discounted rate, however very lack luster for older kids and adults, especially for the cost per person; Violas pumpkin patch is a better choice for the fall experience and vibes.

Very peaceful and scenic botanical garden with focus on trees.
Dog friendly also.
You can spend hours hiking around well maintained and scenic paths.
The nearest busy streets are far away so it's also very peaceful and quiet.
You can listen to the wind rushing through the trees and from time to time squirrels and hawks.

This arboretum is absolutely stunning. The views are amazing. Perfect for a day out with family. There are some active areas of play for kids. I highly suggest taking the 1 mile path. Take in the scenery as you walk around and capture some great photos with the family. I highly suggest visiting this location if you're in the area.

We held our wedding here as our "second choice," and boy were we happy our first venue fell through. The Arboretum is absolutely stunning, and the event space is perfect for an intimate gathering. They even made special accommodations for our elderly guests so they didn't have to walk as far.

One of my fav stops. We saw tons of hummingbirds and even got to help one that got knocked out against a window. The flowers were incredible. I truly love love loved visiting here.
