The East Coast Pizza Company is a Pizza joint located almost smack dab in the middle of Simi Valley ( Tapo Canyon area ). It's been around at least as long as we've lived here, and we used to get take out a lot due to the unique varieties of pizza they had. They have lunch specials on the weekday, but you have to be quick the closer it gets to 4 pm, the less options you have. As I stated before, we used to get this all the time when we first moved to town, but the quality does fluctuate, and with closer Pizza restaurants to consider, we don't get it nearly as much. They still have some of the best white sauce Pizza to date in the Simi area, so thats always a bonus. Furthermore, it's a local chain, so it's good to support local businesses if given the chance. Whenever I'm in Tapo to watch a movie and I have time, it's definitely worth going in to grab a slice or two.

I'd heard great things about it! I finally tried it this this past weekend. I ordered a Sicilian pizza. It was ready in about 35 minutes. When we got home my guests took a couple of bites and politely put it away. I then took a piece, took a couple of bites and then apologized to my guests and picked up the whole box and put in the trash. I've been to New York and Italy and their pizza was nothing like this. I seriously don't know what this way. It was bad. Worst pizza I've had in my whole life.

If you havent tried the pizza here you must! I got a sicilian pizza today and it was deliciously THICK. super good pizza! They got 99c lunch specials too. This is very close to home and the kids love it as well!

This is another spot that I have been eyeballing for a while so I finally went when I was back in the area. It’s a classic strip mall joint with a nice outdoor setting. The inside had NY vibes and a wall with photos of celebrities that have been there. I was thrilled to find out that Flick from A Christmas Story frequents the pizzeria. Hey Flick, if your out there, please sign my Leg Lamp!! Anyways, I ordered a pep calzone, XL Hawaiian pie, and an XL pepperoni. The pizza was NY style, thin, a little flop, little crisp and tasted decent. I would give it a California 8.2 band a solid NYC 6.8. The calzone was amazing scoring a California 9.1 and a NYC 7.8. I will be back again, next time I’m in the area.

I’ve been a customer for a while. I don’t do delivery anymore. That last few times it’s taken over an hour and a half. It’s also necessary to check your order as of late as well. They charge for extra sauce on their wings. The last two times, after paying for extra sauce, the wings have been all but dry. If you’re going to charge for it, even if it’s only 25¢, provide it. Sauce is cheap, losing customers because you aren’t putting enough sauce is expensive. They’ve got one more chance.

At least the pizza is good.

Edit: So I had to edit this review. It’s a shame the food is so good, because the service is now, unfortunately, terrible. I called at 3:45. Placed my order and was told “30-35 minutes.” I’m here now, it is now 4:35, and I’m still waiting for my food. This will be my last time here unfortunately. I gave multiple chances for this place because the food is good. But this isn’t the same place it was when the dude who opened it was passing out slices of pizza when they’d have bands play at the fountain.

I placed an order for a school fundraiser and had a frustrating experience. They wouldn’t answer the phone, so I had to order online. When trying to check out as a guest, I was forced to create an account instead. I used to order here regularly, but now I remember why I stopped. It’s disappointing to see the service decline. While I’m happy to support schools, I can’t say the same for poorly managed restaurants.

Simply put, THE best NY pizza in all of SoCal ... tried dozens and dozens over the 30 years I've been here ..ALL my NY Italian friends and relatives that visit, agree ... THE best NY slice in SoCal ... period ... and I love the Yankees, as does the owner!

Good food. Everything I've ordered from them is amazing, if you have the time and patience to wait for it. There is no hurry at this place unless you are ordering a pre-made slice. If you have the time and patience to wait for a custom order they are delicious and amazing. I always order a custom Stromboli and it is amazing every time.
