I have shared the different programs out there for people needing food, or just need affordable GOOD food (not junk food). The food basket is a great resource for everyone in Hawaii.

This is a very good place for help with food, if you happen to come up short during the month. It's a food pantry that is run by food basket Inc. And they offer what they can on the days open during the month. They say to try and visit once a month, but I don't think that they would deny you if you had to go twice in a month. They offer a nice bag of food, canned goods and usually some frozen meat as well, and if available usually some fresh fruit. The people there are very nice and you are sure to always get a smile when visiting. Thank you Food Basket Inc. For all your help, support and care for the people of Hawaii, young and old they definitely do not discriminate. God bless and keep 🙏 the faith.

Do not show up for emergency food basket anytime once a month. Only from 1pm to 3pm or they'll just make you wait or come back. Very strict.

They have a window where you get emergency food. A lot of people go there and count on food from them, so thank you food bank. You can't go inside so you don't get to see what they have.
