Went for an impromptu dinner, and tried the mole grilled cheese, the tofu and shawarma tacos and the chicken wings; all of which were good, if a tad on the pricier side. The mead, however, was a revelation. The flight had each style bursting with flavor. That being said, mead is a sweeter drink since it is made from from honey. The ambience was a very relaxed, SoCal vibe; with indoor and outdoor seating space. Would recommend trying this place out. Their menu changes monthly so be prepared to be pleasantly surprised.

The place is cozy and pet friendly, so there's always a good light to the place. The food is fantastic! An experimentation of classic Mexican food with a twist! I had the Enchiladas grilled cheese sandwich and it was very tasty. But my friend had the carnitas torta which he said it was amazing!

Only downside, they don't have a lot of beverage options for the non-drinkers. They only had St. Pellegrino and water.

I was in San Diego, near the pier, for the day. When I Googled "Vegetarian Restaurants" The Good Seed Food Company" was in the search results. Great rating and more than on comment about the great vegetarian food. Now, my bad, I didn't check the menu on their website, and made the short walk to their door.

Great curb appeal!

However, when I looked at the menu .. clearly not veg friendly. Very meaty actually. Bummer.

However, for anyone looking for a great SD chill vibe, check it out. The staff was super kind and helpful and the fare is fresh and local when possible.

I gave it a 4, however, obviously didn't eat the food. Just liked the vibe and the staff. Maybe it's a 5 if you're not looking for plant based food. 🤔

Innovative concept of three businesses, the good seafood company for food, the serpentine Cider Company for cider and the Lost Cause Meadery for mead. Recommend a short flight of meads and ciders. Food will mostly be what is available that night, but the chef is innovative and meals are both tasty and inexpensive. I truly recommend the gremolata popcorn. It is addictive!

Excellent food. Raises the bar on bar food. Enjoy some elk street tacos or other daily creations while sipping on mead and cider "next door".

This is such a little hidden Gem! Food was set up to pair our drinks at the cider/mastery. It was phenomenal! Fresh in house bread, food was top notch on flavors, The Chef was extremely polite and knows his way around a kitchen! Will be back for sure, can't get enough. Try the wings, perfectly seasoned where you don't need to waste dipping in sauces because they already have great flavor!

I have left a review before but I have to leave another one, it's just so delicious!! Everytime I come here the menu is different. The food is always phenomenal. The chef really take the time to come up with unique seasonal dishes. I'm used to getting bar food when going to a bar but not the case here! It's at a whole extra level. Super intricate, well thought out, and soo good! If you come to Serpentine Cider you are missing out if you don't order food from The Good Seed Good Company. Highly highly recommend!!

Chef Chuy is a master at offering a wide variety of dishes for many to enjoy and he rotates specials out weekly.

Pair any of Chuy’s dishes with Burgeon Beer and you get a super combo of happiness and good times 🙂
