New butcher shop in Birmingham Al.
Bring the love people!

This place is one of my new favorite spots.
Great selections and reasonably priced.
This is where you come when you have "arrived" (you know; ship came in, won the lottery or bingo, received an inheritance, got that bonus or promotion n want to celebrate ) or if you just want to show out because you like the creme de la creme.

I'm showing out.
I'm showing off.
We are showing up for the fourth of July.

Beautiful dry aged steaks, Beautiful side of Scottish Salmon.
Cavier every kind.
I have everything I need for a really sweet little cheese board.

Can I put the whole store in my back pocket? If only I was Alice, I would keep it close ?

Make a plan and make sure you are full when you shop or you will struggle to choose ?

The staff has the best smiles. They are always so friendly and helpful. It's a very neat setup. It's definitely a carnivore's dream or Charcuterie Heaven because of the many meats, cheeses, and sauces to choose from.

I would definitely recommend following them on Instagram and Facebook and sign up for their newsletter to keep up with their deals and events that they have scheduled.

You will not be disappointed in the various things that they have to offer.

I’ve had many a wonderful steak from Son of a Butcher but this sandwich was truly divine. We got there right at 10 and snagged one of the few Prosciutto di Parma sandwiches from the counter. I was transported to the streets of Italy with this sandwich and every bite of rich savory deliciousness. Will definitely be back to try more sandwiches.

Have been a customer since they opened. Best (fresh) cheese selection in Birmingham. (Staff are knowledgeable and keen to let you taste before you buy.) Their pork tenderloin does not disappoint. This was our 2nd year for buying their “select,” turkey for Thanksgiving……. Exceptional both years. By any means, not cheap but….”you get what you pay for.”

Son of a Butcher is our to-go establishment for meat and fish. Highest quality, reasonable prices. Their aged beef is remarkable. Great selection of cheeses and charcuterie. The staff is extremely friendly. I have only good things to say and I'm thankful they opened!

Great selection, good product, service is good when you can get it, but often disorganized resulting in long wait times and you may not be served.

I just want to give a big shoutout to everyone here for taking the time to chat with us and make us feel us good on Christmas Eve. We tasted delicious meats and cheeses and took home a lovely, assortment to treat ourselves to a small spread for supper. Highly recommend.

I’ve made a few trips to this amazing butcher shop for several items and they have not disappointed. First up we had (2) fantastic Japanese A5 Wagyu steaks. These were so good. You will never look at steak the same after trying it. Next up we picked up some USDA Prime Beef Ribeye (2). These steaks were also good. However they seemed comparable to meat from Publix or The Pig local to my house. We also picked up a dry-aged ribeye which was great. It was my first one and we were a little iffy on trying but we were very satisfied. Also have picked up bratwurst and sausages which have a strong distinctive seasoning. I thought they were some of the best I’ve ever had. My wife wasn’t a fan of the seasoning in them. Lastly I grabbed a jar of their pickles from a local canner. Wasn’t disappointed. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I will be making this a frequent visit.
