Beautiful place to spend my last day in California. I love turtles, so I went to see the turtle pond. There were so many trails that had a variety of experience levels to enjoy. I'm not an experienced hiker, but I am fairly fit, and I was able to enjoy the shorter hard routes.

First time here. The map sucks. I couldn't figure out the lines and the colors. Great place to have a picnic. Not beautiful. Not allowed in the green houses. Please help with donations so they can replace that wooden dome. You need to wear closed toed shoes or you will end up with dirty feet. Great place for hiking. The turtle pond is cute. Bring water. If you can't park near the gate, you will have to park DOWN THE HILL in lot 10. This is a working botanic garden, not a fancy show-off garden.

This garden is quite massive with various terrain options from flat to slope. Parking can be limited at the front and you need to park below or away from the park entrance. Lots of variety of unique plants, great places to stroll and embrace nature. Definitely recommend bringing water, sunscreen, and a hat. There are some shaded areas but it does get warm and sunny most of the time. Most of the plants and trees are labeled which is helpful if you want to learn. This park is FREE to enter, but you do need to pay for parking using the kiosk. There are restrooms and water fountains near the entrance. Great place to visit for families with kids as well as adults.

We had so much fun hiking! Take food, snacks and water with you there is no cafeteria or restaurant. Great place for families! It’s free! Just pay the parking

Lovely place to walk/hike. We couldn't navigate the smaller and more rugged paths with our strollers, to but we still walked for about 40 minutes. Loved the little "butterfly garden!" ?

Lovely place to get in nature and stretch your legs. If you stay on the pathed areas, you can walk it within 2 hours. To wander the other trails, get ready for some inclines and plan to stay longer. Upper parking lot was full, but you can park at the base of the hill and walk up. There is an option to pick more than 2 hours parking now.

This was my first time visiting and it was really lovely. It's free to get in, although there is a suggested donation of $10 per adult (kids 12 and under free). Parking was $4 for two hours, and the biggest bummer about that was not being able to select a time longer than two hours.

At the entrance they had a table set up with a really lovely and helpful volunteer and they had nature bingo cards for the kids which was really great.

There are some formal gardens (rose garden, butterfly, herbs, etc) and then some really lovely trails to walk. My kids loved the trails and scampered around on rocks. We came in February it was still a little early to see things in bloom but it was still a lovely experience and we will be back.

The pond is quite small but my kids enjoyed the koi and turtles.

I had about an hour to kill while I was at UCR so I decided to visit the botanical gardens. I paid only $2 for 2 hours of parking. I believe I was there on a Tuesday around 9 am and entered for free. This place is beautiful and affordable for families. I have been telling my friends about this place because it's awesome for hiking and spend time with the kiddos.
