Things have changed and relaxed a little bit but it’s still a good time on Wednesday nights. They have a live band plenty of food vendors and lots of fun. It was better prior to Covid but it’s still worth the trip

We arrived before 5 on a Wednesday....it seemed dead... and we wondered why we paid $10 each...took the 10 minute walk down the path to the ocean! Amazing walk and views.. ..by the time we got back, the place was alive! So much fun, great music, great vibe! Don't miss it but go on a Wednesday and support the locals!

The best local market on this side of the island on Saturday mornings. Get there early, things start winding down around 10-11. Also a really great spot to spend a Wednesday evening with live music and good food. Worth the trip if you’re debating it either day!

Had a great time ! Loved the music and the vibe of the whole market but I was expecting more vendors. From what I understand, before Covid there was apparently up to 80 vendors all the time and no charge to get in . But now between food and craft vendors there was maybe 6 or 7 vendors and a charge of $10 to get in. But the bar made incredible drinks!! And music was top notch ! Would come back again if ever travelling back to Hawaii.

The real deal. Music and food great. Get there early and Do not miss the burned out car and the trail across the lava to the ocean. Kombucha on tap.

I arrived here midday on a Monday and there was a stand selling smoothies and acai bowls, a tie-die shirt stand, and a small restaurant in the back that did not appear open. Not many options for food, and no other “market” stands open.

There is a black sand beach that you can walk to, ~8 min walk from the parking area. This has a small patch of black sand, but is mostly cliffs. There are some permanent looking camps set up along there with people living there. Very pretty though.

We had a brilliant evening here on a Wednesday; saw 4 talented and different bands, ate tasty food and drank some delicious and very punchy mai tais! The whole vibe was so welcoming and relaxed, it felt like a really genuine place and as tourists we didn't feel at all out of place. Highly recommend!
