Would definitely come back again, worth the drive from Phoenix just for dinner. The wife had the lamb, I had the rack of elk and it was amazing. Service was great as well. Definitely high recommendations.

We had the salmon, the pork loin steak, the rib-eye and the lamb, w/the cauliflower and artichoke appetizers.

Dessert: think "now you see it, now you don't". Buttermilk pie and the bread pudding.

The food prep is excellent - both my son and our employee have prior experience in the restaurant industry and they loved it all.

Food is excellent. Owner/Chef Jim’s philosophy is “In matters of taste, there can be no disputes” so having conversations with him on good and wine is engaging and thoughtful. A fun regulars crowd, upscale for the area but low key and easy compared to Scottsdale or Sedona.

This is a Very comfortable cozy restaurant. They make you feel like they've known you forever. I ate at the bar and had the half rack of ribs with a loaded baked potato and a side salad with balsamic. There were also seasonal vegetables. Everything was delicious. The sauce on the ribs was tangy and sweet. I like a lot of heat but this was nice for a change. It was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The meat fell off the bone. It was a little messy but what do you expect if you order ribs? They have napkins and a sink in the restroom. ? I enjoyed the company of everyone at the bar. And the service was good.

Additional comment: I would have liked to see a selection of locally brewed beers on draft. (I resorted to Michelob ultra.) A better local beer selection would move Up The Creek up a notch.

Went there for an anniversary dinner, our server was amazing, food was excellent, atmosphere; perfect for a nice dinner out.

Stopped in last night for a bottle of our favorite Zinfandel and a burger. Burger as always was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Garlic parmesan fries to die for. We sat at the bar and the bartender was so friendly and efficient. Have been several times. Such a fun place! Jim the chef/owner always comes by to say hi and to see how everything is! Oh, by the way!! You need to try the mac and cheese!! Love it there!! See you soon!!

We found this place from a recommendation on Airbnb, and we are glad we did! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was quaint. People were dressed in various degrees. Some were dressed business casual and some were in jeans and t shirts. Our server was Clark, and he was very busy but still attentive. We overheard him listening to a complaint from the table behind us, and he handled it well. The person complaining was a bit over the top, and the complaint had nothing to do with the food or service. The manager also did a great job with this person from what we overheard. My husband had the Elk and I had the lamb, both were delicious. We also had the baked Brie appetizer, and I had the buttermilk pie our table was next to the window and we had a view of the creek as well as hummingbirds using their many bird feeders.

Traveled to Cottonwood for a Day-cation. . So being new to the area we googled and found this gem. First of all I want to thank Mario the owner for seating my date and I without a Reservation. They were packed. He made room for us. We sat at the bar end and were just happy to be there. Then “CD” introduced herself and recommended an aged 12 ounce that was their special. I ordered that and at medium rare. “ CD” told me the Chef recommended it that way. My date got the Salmon and Polenta.(Amazing!) . Let me tell you , This place tied if not beat -as the best steak I have ever had! No joke. The saffron mash potatoes were out of this world. Compliments to the Chef whom we got to meet. Both CD and Mario recommended the wine. Perfect! ! It was by far the most inviting place I have ever been . Great energy , good times. Thank you. I highly recommend. P.S. Mario and CD we’ll be back and Look forward to it. Take care guys.
