I am a student in Urban Farm U's courses and - full disclosure - I also work here! It has been a joy and an honor to be a part of the Urban Farm U community for the past several years. In my personal life I've had the privilege of tending gardens around the world but I move often and don't always get to keep a garden very long before having to start over from scratch. What I love about Urban Farm U's online events, classes, and courses is that they have taught me practical principles and a regenerative mindset that I can apply anywhere in the world. So no matter where I happen to be growing, from the city of Portland, Oregon, USA to rural Nepal, I have been able to apply what I have learned from these courses to guide me wherever I am. I have taken almost all of Urban Farm U's online courses and my favorite is Growing Food the Basics because it is extremely practical and every time I watch the videos I pick up on something new. It is foundational knowledge that I think would be beneficial to food growers at any level. Urban Farm is transforming local food systems and making it fun (and easy) to grow your own food. The focus is on education and regeneration. When I moved back to the desert last year, I knew that I wanted to plant a fruit forest, but didn't know where to start. That is when I found Urban Farm. Farmer Greg and the team are all about education and sharing the knowledge required to grow food in the low desert. They freely share all the information needed and it is the place to start and continue on the 'grow your own food' journey. Additionally, they have interviewed hundreds of amazing pioneers and innovators which can be found on the Urban Farm podcast, a must for everyone's playlist. Thank you Urban Farm; keep up the GREAT work!

Just attended their Seed Up Saturday meeting & it was very informative with a lot of additional information for books, websites, local connections and so much more. I purchased a Seed In A Box Bundle & I'm so excited to have these for my garden & to share with my family so we can have healthy food grown from non-gmo & heirloom seeds.

Excellent water harvesting summit. Thanks for providing replays over the weekend. I learned so much from all of the speakers. Everyone provided a ton of useful info. I especially appreciate all the work that Janis put into her backyard.

I took the 7-module, online course"Growing Food The Basics" and that fall I was growing Brocolli, Cauliflower, Radishes, Carrots, and a few herbs.I followed what Greg and Kari shared about backyard gardening and my garden was quite fruitful. I continue to listen to Greg's podcasts and learn something every time. Greg is available for any questions I may have, as well. The amount of information in the couse is far and above worth the cost of the course.

I absolutely recommend, urbanfarm.org, go to their website, support them. They provide scholarship programs for those in financial hardship thru proceeds from products and courses purchased, so they need your support. The farmers and scientists from all over, are passionate about teaching us to grow sustainable food for ourselves and our neighbors.
The live summits are well organized, easy to follow and avail the garden lovers of the world with an education that is chock full of valuable information. Whether you are gardening and growing your own food, aesthetic/floral gardening for years or just starting out, you will learn something new that you can incorporate into your daily gardening routine. I just joined a 3-day summit hosted by Greg Peterson and the Urban Farm Team, it was amazing. Sharing these pearls of garden wisdom with my friends. Hope you join this amazing team, and wish for you to have a healthy, abundant garden. Best of luck to everyone!
