Beautiful open space with farm to table food. Wonderful selection of wines by the bottle or glass. Incredible atmosphere with a welcoming vibe. You can enjoy freely roaming around, there are many lovely spots underneath the trees to have a glass and a conversation. A wonderful animal adventure adventure to explore that will be a hit with you and kids. Pigs, goats, chicken, sheep and more oh my. Bring some cash to buy lettuce to feed the animals. The short ribs were incredible, the polenta was bright and fresh and the salad, tape and and hummus were impossible to stop eating. Jared and his staff made us feel right at home. You can also get wine shipped home or to your fellow wine love. Highly recommend!

Not sure what we liked more, the wine offerings, the shaded pastoral outdoor tasting area, the organic garden, or the animals, especially the snort of baby pigs (that’s my collective noun for pigs). Before we spent a relaxing hour or so tasting this winery’s mostly Italian red varietals (they have whites too), which we thoroughly enjoyed, our guide gave us a tour of the grounds, where we tasted grapes from the vine, saw the old adobe house, and wandered among the pens of llamas, rabbits, pigs, chickens, and other animals. The baby pigs were for sale and I was worried that Sarah would want to take one home. It’s a good thing we saw them before we started drinking, or we may have gone home with a new pet under the seat in front of us. But we did leave with a parting gift to enjoy when we got home: the owner and winemaker gave us a few beautiful heirloom tomatoes just picked from the vine.

Great place we stumbled upon. The server was very passionate about wine and you can tell it wasn’t just regurgitated facts they must know. Food was great too and it is dog friendly! Also was a chilly day but they had heaters. Got to go check out some of the lil farm animals they have in the back!

Vega Vineyard and Farm really struck me as a tight knit, warm place. Compared to the other vineyards I’ve visited, Vega seems to be a casual place where employees really get to know the locals in the area, and are super down to earth.

My parents and I made a pit stop on our way to Solvang, and struggled a bit finding the entrance to the vineyard (apparently Apple and Google maps can’t accurately locate this vineyard still…), but managed to get there.

Louise was our lovely waiter (the cheesecake is named after them by the way, and it’s a great cheesecake), and we enjoyed their recommendations! I got the greek salad, which paired wonderfully with the vermentino wine. My mom got the vega salad which she really enjoyed, and paired it with the wine flight (which had super generous pours). My father enjoyed the beet salad and fig flatbread, but his favorite was Louise’s cheesecake!

If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely be back! My dad ending up saying that this meal was one of his favorites for our Santa Barbara/Solvang trip!

This place was awesome, a nice outdoor restaurant setting with good shade, great service, excellent wine and some incredible farm to table food. We had the Brie app, a salad and a pasta dish and all were really fantastic. A lot of restaurants these days have pretty lackluster food, not this place. I’d love to go back if I’m ever in the area.

We came with kids and the little farm animal feeding area was really fun. The adults enjoyed feeding the animals as well.

Staff were very friendly, this place is super kid friendly which was awesome. However, if just adults, still don’t miss this place.
