Parking is easy and plenty. The staff is friendly and helpful. I was able to find all the items that I needed. Self-checkout was a breeze.

This store has become the worse store on planet earth. The store employees are very bad at their job.. from the deli to the meat department up until the check out. I think the real issue is the leader(ship). After all the complains I’ve read online and getting insights from other store owners from the shopping center. According to the information I have collect all around, comes to the answer is why the appointed leader have not done anything already? Also I don’t see no diversity in the employees.. the employees seem like a TEAM and cover up for one another. Yes, I’m suppose to go and shop, right? But how am I suppose to do that when I need help in the deli, meat department or even in the check out due to technical problems with self-checkout. Then I come to ask an employee who is having a conversation about off work (vacation ideas) then proceeds to tell me, “hey, do you not see me talking to someone.” Isn’t it common sense as a hourly employee to help guest who need assistance? Although it seems like management have given these employees the freedom to technically operate on their own.. this is unacceptable because it was never like this nor it’s fair because I am not white-American. That’s where it all falls because see it happen with others in this Store.

In the middle of El Cajon city. Clean and popular grocery store with their quality of goods. The have a good inventory of Halloween candies, and their fruits and vegetables are on top of line. They are kind of pricy compared to Walmart. Their bakery is awesome too. Perfect for buying flowers as well. Thank you

Love this vons the Bakery is 10/10 i love getting fresh bread in the morning. Hard working friendly staff! Best Vons in east county!Update went this morning for a Tea and theres was a wondeful friendly girl working the day shift! Im very happy and ill be coming to this Starbucks Now Good Job By you Starbucks!!!

today 9/27 at 8-810pm at self checkout, I asked a young lady for help and she uugg me and clearly saw her rude face expression. Since she was in her cell with earplugs on I know I had interrupted and even said sorry to her and she just walked away with no response and didn’t even tried to help me. I don’t know what has been happening to this store, lately I have seen employees not wearing proper uniforms and some are rude when I have asked for help, and to top it off at times the store is dirty. I come here because it’s closer BUT with this situation getting worse I will start driving further away to do my groceries

Vons has a UPS return, so basically employee named “Mario” refuses to return items because he does not want to based on his assumption that he does not know which is which. Even though there is 3 items with corresponding QR codes with their labeled item numbers etc. again Mario had been very unprofessional and un cooperative.

I moved into the area 2 years ago. The Vons is the closest and most convenient from my home.

Before moving I couldn’t have been happier with the service from the Albertsons I had gone to for years. Where the employees actually wore uniforms and could be identified as employees. It seems the Vons doesn’t stress the need for their employees to wear uniforms.

In the last 3-5 months I have noticed the employees do not look happy and there is generally no communication with me in self checkout or utilizing an open checkout lane (when there is actually more than 1 open which is rare).

What really bothers me is the stealing I have seen from the store the last 3 times I have gone. The most recent was a woman and teenaged boy using self checkout. They scanned everything, threw it in the cart and walked out of the store. I told an employee this was happening and she said this happens all the time. I have noticed the store in the last month has had a security guard in the store which appears to do nothing to stop persons from stealing.
Before writing this review I have seen a response from the “owner” on other reviews stating they have talked to staff regarding the complaint reviews but it seems nothing is happening. I feel this Vons will be like so many other stores and will close due to all the thefts, or the prices will just be higher.

I am going to make the further drive to Rancho San Diego now to use the Albertsons. At least their employees seem to enjoy working there and are communicative and helpful and I have not noticed the thefts from that store.
