So very beautiful, calm and amazing walk. A nice slower pace, it was magical. It is an amazing garden with all kinds of amazing massive trees and plants and a lot of educational information along the way. We tried to mimic the birds that came close and they would talk back it, was so cool. the water fall was not at its peak, it was so dry when we went so there was no swimming at it either. There was a market the day we went with so many cool things and eats. There is also a restaurant with a large selection of food on the menu and a gift shop as well. They had movie posters on the wall showing all the films that used it as a location.

Waimea Botanical Gardens is a beautiful and picturesque hidden gem, offering a magical getaway under the canopy of lush trees. Even though we visited in the middle of a drought and the waterfall was just a trickle, the surroundings were still serene and captivating. One of the highlights was the family luau, which was graceful, peaceful, and perfectly matched the scenic environment. We spent about half a day exploring the gardens, and the trek was easy—everything is paved, making it accessible for little kids and strollers. The entry fee is $25 for adults, and $20 for seniors and students, which felt like a fair price for such a lovely experience. Highly recommend visiting for a relaxing day in nature!

Beautiful hike to the falls with lots of educational information along the path. Was very peaceful and highly recommend for a slower Hawaiian pace. Take your time, enjoy the experience, and learn more about Hawaii. Such a lovely place. Very easy hike and all asphalt road the whole way up. They do have food and facilities. Plenty of parking and a gift shop.

Such a beautiful garden. A lot of it is all natural beauty that was maintained. There are some really unique structures and trees that I have never seen before. So much natural beauties and I highly recommend it.

You have to go through here to reach the falls- about a 20 minute walk.

They even have informational stands and employees throughout to give you information, and even a person singing live. This place was so cool and totally worth it.

Pretty amazing botanical garden with very untouched/Jurassic Park vibes. Parking is fairly easy but we went on a weekday. There is an unticketed entry area that is quite big to walk around first, and then the ticketed area begins. I believe you have to get there by a certain time in order to get to and swim/take pics in the waterfall but we did not do that-- I would definitely plan ahead if that's your goal!! There were so many amazing native plants, cool birds everywhere, truly feels like a different world!!! it's quite hot/humid, so bring water.

As you wander through the garden's vibrant pathways, you're surrounded by an explosion of colors and the delightful scents of exotic flowers. Each turn reveals a new marvel, from towering waterfalls to serene streams, making it a perfect escape from reality.

One of the highlights is the stunning collection of native Hawaiian plants, which are both beautiful and educational. The garden's diverse flora is meticulously curated, showcasing the incredible biodiversity of Hawaii. The well-maintained trails make it easy to explore, and there are plenty of spots to sit and soak in the natural beauty.

But the garden isn't just about plants—it's also a cultural experience. You'll find traditional Hawaiian structures and interpretive signs that tell the rich history of the land. It's a perfect blend of nature and culture that leaves you feeling connected to Hawaii's unique heritage.

Whether you're a plant enthusiast, a history buff, or just looking for a peaceful stroll, Waimea Botanical Garden offers a delightful adventure. Don't forget your camera, because every corner of this garden is Instagram-worthy!

Went to the Eddy Big Wave invitational yesterday on North Shore in Waimea Bay. 60+ foot waves and tons of talent made for a maybe twice in a lifetime experience. The conditions have to be perfect for this event to even be held. 40 ft minimum required. Today was beyond exceptional. I got some great photos and videos from the VIP area. I highly recommend getting to North Shore if you go to Oahu. Also stop in Hale Eva if you're up there. Go to the North Shore Surf Shop. They will hook you up!

This place is great. 15 - 20 min walk to the waterfall on an easy paved path! Waterfall is cold but worth the dip. Lockers and changing at the falls but need cash for the lockers.
