We went to the Tuesday morning tour and had a wonderful discussion about the original people that settled on Kauai who developed sustainable food production in harmony with the overall watershed. Stacey led the tour and shared her extensive knowledge of the local culture along with the flora and fauna of the watershed. This is a small group tour led by sincere tour guides whose vision is to develop local food production in association with sustainable practices that maintain the health of the ecosystem. This tour is highly recommended for those wanting to get closer to how Hawaiians lived before the arrival of Cook.

Had an amazing experience on the farm tour at Waipa, just north of Hanalei on Kauai. Stacy and her team were very warm and welcoming, and interested in all of the guests' questions and input. We loved driving around the area on the ATVs making stops at various important locations to learn about the systems traditionally used for farming and preserving resources. So many interesting things I've never heard before. We planted some sweet potatoes in the garden for future visitors and staff. We also were served breakfast goodies before we went out and about, and when we got back to "base camp" had the tastiest lunch I've had in a very long time! Mostly food grown on the farm, but all local for sure. Sooooo good! My time here has been absolutely enhanced by this experience. This organization is doing the best kind of work for this island and community. I'm happy to support their work. You should too!

Wonderful tour on the north shore of Kauai. Highly recommend! Learnt a lot about local regenerative farming systems, while touring on a golf cart (easy -not much walking), visiting the waterways, planting sweet potato slips and ending with a delicious home made farm grown lunch. Jasmine and Emma were wonderful hosts!

Wonderful experience learning Hawaiian sustainability work and nature. Wonderful lunch with best chicken and sweet potatoes ever. Would recommend this activity on Kauai. 5 stars.

Every Thursday is Poi Day.
Kalo, (aka Taro) is cleaned and ground into the Hawaiian staple Poi.
Volunteers and visitors are instructed by the staff and senior community members.
