Wonderful tour!!!
The King's Gardens in Maui offers an enchanting hiking experience that seamlessly combines natural beauty, cultural history, and serene landscapes. Located near the iconic Road to Hana, this hidden gem provides a unique opportunity to explore Maui’s lush tropical scenery.
The hike through the King's Gardens is moderately challenging but accessible to most hikers. The trail is well-maintained, with clear markers and paths that wind through dense rainforests, past cascading waterfalls, and along serene streams. The verdant foliage, vibrant flowers, and towering trees create a magical atmosphere that feels like stepping into another world.

Waterfalls: The highlight of the hike is the breathtaking waterfalls. The sound of cascading water and the refreshing mist provide a perfect spot for a break and photo opportunities.
Flora and Fauna: The diversity of plants and wildlife is astounding. From giant ferns and exotic orchids to native birds, the King's Gardens is a haven for nature lovers.
Cultural Significance: The trail is dotted with signs and plaques that provide insights into the historical and cultural significance of the area. Learning about the ancient Hawaiian kings who once roamed these gardens adds a profound depth to the hike.

The King's Gardens hike in Maui is a must-do for anyone visiting the island. Whether you are an avid hiker or simply looking to immerse yourself in the natural splendor and cultural heritage of Hawaii, this trail offers something for everyone.

We had a fabulous tour with 'T', the jungle man. He made the 2 hours very interesting and fun and he has a great way of explaining so much about the plants and trees and history of Maui. Our 5 yo stayed entertained and liked the short walk through the rain forest. I have been coming to Maui for decades and never had done this tour. What a great find along the north short, near the JAWS wave! I highly recommend it!

I am very late to write my review, but given the situation in Maui and the devastation left by the fires, I wanted to take time to review all the wonderful places we visited in August.

The King's Garden Hike was a magical experience. We learned about the history of the site and local cultures. Our tour guide was very friendly. The grounds are stunning. Be aware that this hike has some steps to climb. There is a hidden waterfall we got to see during the hike. I don't want to post too many photos to respect the exclusivity and privacy of this tour given the historical significance of the site. We ended the tour with a chocolate taste test which was a great treat. I highly recommend you visit and give this hike a try. FYI, there are no restrooms on site when we visited so make sure to use the bathroom at the last restaurant prior to arriving to the hike site.

Our guide Kama was awesome. Very knowledgeable, fun, funny, made it a very good experience. The experience itself though unfortunately very much overpriced. The trail is beautiful and full of different types of ginger blooms and the like. The view of the waterfall at the end from afar is nice but nothing remarkable. The chocolate making is a demonstration of how how to make chocolate with store bought ingredients. Lastly the second waterfall they point you towards for swimming is Twin Falls which is indeed a great place to visit but nothing you can’t find on your own.

Wow! What a unique and educational experience. Our guide Jiva was so knowledgeable about the history of this beautiful land but also funny and kept me guessing if he was kidding or not.
If you love nature AND chocolate I highly recommend this tour. *just make sure to bring bug spray, lots of mosquitoes

Tour with Arjuna today. Wow! What a great and educational experience! I highly recommend. We've been coming to Maui for 20 years and this is a first at Kings Gardens. Totally worth the time and money. Tip well as they do a fantastic job! Especially if you are a plant geek.

Exceptional experience! Jiva was an incredible guide sharing thoughtful information along the entire route and answering every question with insightful details - he even took my asking where I could find traditional poi farther than expected sending a note after the tour with where he'd found a roadside stand l'd likely pass on my way home (plus a photo so l'd recognize it!). A beautiful location, wonderful tour... and now I have a new list of adventure recommendations for the island.
