If you are looking for the smart way of getting into small livestock and backyard agriculture, this is a good place to start- although you will initially pay more. I have planted 14 plant items from her and am preparing for livestock, because starting out with disease is way more expensive in even the near term, and she is meticulous. She is more interested in creating a network of people educated in the best practices of low-input backyard agronomy than anything else, and she won't even offer to sell you something that she doesn't think will thrive-plants or animals.

I have searched out multiple farms and breeders but haven't seen anything even close to the impeccable care and vast knowledge that is so evident here. Only animals with amazing health and attitude are available here along with delicious treats of all types from homemade jams, syrups and herbs to aromatic firewood and even trees when in season. The knowledge alone here is something worth the visit and the relationship between them and their customers is beyond words.
